My rant versus a teen girl (orphan) message to me a few minutes ago.

This life some of us have chosen is not as easy as it looks from the outside. There has never been a time that Edu wasn't in a constant debit mode. Unfortunately, I have not been successful with grant applications.

My personal account has taken so much heat in the last month. The number of times I have thought about quitting because it all gets too much...

The line between protecting yourself from going broke while helping people, or watching a criminal get away with a crime because you need a certain amount of money to stop it is very thin.
Especially when government agencies won't answer you and would probably die if they replied to an email.

You can't pour from an empty vessel. You will think I don't know this but I actually do🤦

The day you see me losing it online and tagging agencies for a call-out, everybody should just hold me oooo....

Long story short.
They said we have no case.

An 18-year-old is an adult according to the law, so if a man marries her through her father, he can take her to wherever he is located as his wife, whether she likes it or not. 🤦🤦
So the father has not broken any law.

I have so many questions about consent and the force part of it but was told that the law is SILENT ABOUT IT🤦

Who is protecting the girl child out here?
They also have no shelter for her. 🤭🤭🤭

My head is hurting.
So I am literally stucked with a teenager who is looking at me like her saviour and can't do shit because the law is SILENT about it.

So which "forced marriage" have we been advocating against?

So teenage uneducated girls in rural communities can be targeted and forced into marriage when they turn 18 and nothing can be done about it even when the protest and cry out for help.

Is that it?

I will be back with the video interview because, at the very least, I am praying to find women, advocates, anyone else, who can help this teenage girl return to school or finish her sewing apprenticeship.

She can't even go home right now

First, just because someone has read and studied the Bible for 20 years doesnt somehow make them right. .

Theres plenty of scholars with far deeper expertise in the original languages, ancient manuscripts and church history remain fully convinced Christians.

In regards to Mark the earliest complete manuscripts we have ends at 16:8. The women see the empty tomb and hear the angel announce the resurrection and then flee in fear.

The longer ending (Mark 16:9–20) was added in the early 2nd century. This isnt some gotcha as Bibles footnote this so its not some grand conspiracy to invent the story.

Also, the resurrection of Jesus doesnt rest on Mark alone. The earliest Christian creed we have is in 1 Corinthians 15:3-8 dated by most scholars to within months to just a few years of the resurrection itself.

The creed lists specific resurrection appearances to Peter, the Twelve, over 500 people at once, James and then of course Paul (see thread for further breakdown of the creed).

The Resurrection creed was circulating well before Marks Gospel was completed.

The New Testament wasnt secretly rewritten by “later scribes.” It emerged from apostolic writings that were already circulating and used in worship from the very beginning.

We have thousands of manuscripts today precisely because the early church preserved and copied them carefully.

Deep study is good but it requires humility….not “I studied longer so be quiet.”

Believers have examined the same exact evidence…..the early resurrection creed, the empty tomb, the transformed disciples and the explosive growth of Christianity under persecution and reach completely different conclusions.

Se Deus te dá uma faculdade, é para que você a exerça. Se sua razão consegue conceber a possibilidade real de perigo, então está nas suas mãos te proteger quanto a isso. Se você abdica da razão, abdica do dom de Deus, e portanto de sua proteção. Mas que proteção, já que me protejo?

A proteção quanto às coisas que você não pode lidar. Por isso Paulo diz que Deus não permite tentações que não podemos vencer, ou seja, permitindo as que podemos vencer, pois estamos aqui para agir; mas quanto àquelas coisas que não podemos controlar ou até mesmo perceber, é aí que a providência de Deus sempre nos custodia conforme seus desígnios, e isto se usarmos nossa razão para nos protegermos daquilo que conseguimos conceber.
