@TATDYLF_R2D2@LouiChristopher Plus, asking prices are usually below sale price in rising markets, but over sales price in falling markets. This means they'll understate the pace of gains and falls eg recent history of sales price data in Darwin.
But, the data is exactly what it says it is: av. asking price
@TATDYLF_R2D2@LouiChristopher Asking prices are going to be choppy. At any given time there aren't that many properties for sale. This means changes in composition will change average asking prices even when the market doesn't move. What's more, averages are more affected by outliers.
@gabriel_zucman Billionaires pay much MORE tax than the average. Maybe a a lower PERCENTAGE.
Bezos point: Low income earners, by definition of having little income cannot pay much of the overall tax take, so they should pay zero. Big help to their quality of life with little affect on revenue.
@Sam_Vecenie Everyone responds to different things. The delisting may have motivated the off field changes. Not to say Essendon was trying to help him by delisting, but not sure sitting down and talking people through things is always the most effective method with 20yos
@LouiChristopher First thing to check when prices are high: is it supply or demand? If it's supply issues, margins AND quantities will be lower for many producer(by definition of a supply decrease).
@AndrewKSchlecht Mitch Johnson understands power dynamics within an organisation. Most head coaching positions have an electorate of 1 person: the best player.
@ryderkessler So they use less resources, and therefore should be cheaper. The spare disposable income will be used to consume other stuff that is probably not carbon neutral. I think there is an old study on people who moved into apartments in the Chicago area that bears this out.
@Cheezeitzlol@SkyedOKC Yep. At least SGA just says 'I'm trying to win games', and never criticises other players.
Twice as bad to commit offensive fouls all day long, then act like a victim. JB thinks he's so important that refs and the league go home and devote time to conspiring against him
@JustEsBaraheni We should remember that even when they got the 2nd pick they didn't take Luka.
There are lots of bad teams that would have been bad regardless what picks they were given in quite a few drafts. Different story if it's a Wemby or Flagg draft.
@Sam_Vecenie Good for Rudy to have someone else on the team who is too serious to worry about being cool.
McDaniel's might fall into that category but maybe more weird than serious.
@LouiChristopher I think people just cared less when refined fuel was adequately supplied. Nobody paid much attention when something caught fire in a poorly regulated middle income economy like India or Victoria
@AdamPollock Aus ppl say housing is expensive due to migration, yet people imply your house is probably cheap due to the possibility of migrants nearby. Price up=Migration, price down=migration. Temp up= climate change, cold snow storm=climate change. Captive minds of the right and left
@KevinOConnor I think there is enough evidence on this game alone for Lamelo to be encouraged to seek an ADHD assessment. Impulsive and inattentive. Poor guy. It might change his life.
@John_On_Climate@mattrandle42 Because both panels and batteries are heavily subsidized.
So, yeah, your power bills are lower but it's paid for with higher taxes.
Solar is good, but rational tradeoffs aren't made due to distortions by government involvement in both fossil fuels and solar, hydro etc
@WallStreetMav Cars, planning etc. LA has very nice parts but making urban areas pretty is not a priority. Most people spend most their time at home or at work so those places are the natural priority.
@SmokingWR3CK4G3@comical_engr I know, but life isn't reversible. We have to just start from where we are and make some pragmatic decisions that prioritise security over cost, well at least to a slightly greater degree than in the past.
It does seem that being a rich country means we'll end up getting fuel
