The Met Police’s handling of this today is an absolute joke.

They tore down a peaceful #NotMyKing banner, couldn’t give a lawful reason, while happily allowing pro-monarchy flags and bunting everywhere else.

This isn’t neutral crowd management. It’s selective suppression of dissent at a taxpayer-funded national event.

If the rule really is “no banners on barriers,” enforce it equally.

Otherwise it just looks like protecting the establishment from criticism.
