🚨BREAKING: AIRCRAFT ACCIDENT AT LEEDS BRADFORD AIRPORT

AN AIRCRAFT has veered off the runway this afternoon when landing at #Leeds #Bradford Airport.

The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, is a TUI flight inbound from Corfu. It is understood the aircraft has slid off the runway onto the grass banking, after landing at 1:53pm.

Fire services can be seen racing down the runway to the aircraft. A large emergency response is currently in attendance including multiple ambulances and specialist resources from West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and Yorkshire Ambulance Services’ Hazardous Area Response Team.

It is not yet understood if anyone is injured.

The aircraft has a total capacity of 189 passengers and is typically used by TUI for short and mid haul flights.

TUI and Leeds Bradford Airport have both been approached for comment.
