and Iโm 100% okay with this. You pay $0/m, you donโt get the best model.
Google making me pay extra for Argon while I actively pay $20/month was a really bad product decision.
They backtracked saying they finally provisioned compute for it but we know it was just their PMs being out of touch.
However, not giving Argon to subscribers paying $0 is fair game
-excluding students on the free Pro year
-excluding Pixel buyers who got free Pro months with the phone, even if they paid for Pro for years before
-excluding Jio users with the bundled Pro plan
-excluding everyone still on the old Antigravity IDE
-excluding Ultra for Business
You'd think for Google's renaissance arc, they'd at least add some sort of usage based credits for the Pro plan and Argon ๐คท.
How can a company who's now behind 3 companies at the frontier expect the general audience to bite the bullet on a $100 plan straightaway?
@noctus91 Argon is as "big model smell" as it comes, so limited on our ability to serve it widely, but working on versions of Gemini 4 which will be available to billions of people : )
@ppok24@turnpanel give you a free model on auto mode that works better than Haiku and is on par with Sonnet 5.5 ๐
I use TurnPanel Free as my primary orchestrator for Claude Code
At @turnpanel, we practice what we preach. Iโve moved everything here, from the random questions I used to ask Gemini to dev work for @turnpanel and @echowinAI. I use native Codex and ask TurnPanel to orchestrate Claude Code.
And yes, this video was made with TurnPanel.
We had 'Spaces' before ChatGPT. Our spaces live locally on your machine, not in the cloud. You can keep a space isolated, open it up, or collaborate with your team in it. Each space has its own jobs, skills, scripts, and custom apps you can build.
Stop juggling between emails, AI chats, meeting notes, and files to get work done. One workspace that brings it all together and carries the work to completion.
Adopt TurnPanel.
@dotgil@turnpanel It keeps state. Every job has its own to-do list and history saved on your machine, so it picks up where it left off, even after a restart.
Agents keep long-term memory too, and you can turn any workflow into a reusable skill they refine over time.
Ternary Bonsai 2 27B from @PrismML now runs in TurnPanel.
27B with vision in a 6โ7 GB download, fully on your machine.
Live in today's nightly. Your agents. On your machine.
๐ TurnPanel is now in public beta.
Itโs a local-first AI workspace that goes beyond chat. It operates your computer, works with your tools and models, and carries real tasks through to completion while keeping you in control.
This is what personal AI should feel like.

This was a fun video to make.
True story. I'd been slacking on my WiFi being throttled at 100MBps when i was paying for 440MBps internet. TurnPanel fixed it for me within 5 minutes, using a local Qwen model.
@Jason The app layer/ harness/ interfaces, and the whole stack that makes local AI practical already exist as a platform, and we've been running on it. It's self-evolving in our lab right now. We'd love to get you early access.
