My wife took my Cybertruck on a girls beach trip.

She is not used to using FSD so I told her to not hold the steering wheel, just rest her hands on her knees and let FSD drive.

She took over twice on the 4 hour trip.

Once because she thought it was glitching when it started to pull off to the side of the road and slow down and then a second time at a crosswalk when it slowed down with seemingly no one there.

The pullover on the road was because there was an emergency vehicle behind her and she was not aware yet. The crosswalk slowing was because a person was perfectly standing where the A-pillar was blocking her from actually seeing the person. Her friend had to yell stop to keep from a near hit.

She told me that she is now convinced that she should just let Tesla’s FSD do all the driving.

I’m going to make a new bumper sticker: “Let FSD cook!” :)

Wireless charging for EVs is really exciting.

Imagine just falling asleep on a road trip, and your self-driving car can stop to charge and get back on the road entirely on its own.

Imagine never having to remember to plug in.

In fact, people in apartments who don’t have a place to park won’t even have to worry about charging. The car can just go charge itself and be ready the next time the owner needs it.

This technology will accelerate EV adoption once it’s available at a reasonable price. And it’s already an SAE standard, which should in theory make all brands of wireless charger and wireless charging EV compatible with each other.
