Luminous Arrows Soar
The Full Moon in the sign of the Cosmic Archer is one that reflects an air of urgency. A journey is coming to an end. One that’s been full of twists and turns, surprises and slowdowns. One that’s ultimately given us the experiences we’ve needed, although perhaps not always wanted. Sagittarius is the sign of the Philosopher. No matter how challenging the situation, this is one Archetype that manages to always find the silver lining. There’s always something to learn.
So, what have we learnt in these months gone by? What experiences have we had - easy or challenging - that have shaped us into the Hero(ine) that we are now? Can we see the moral of the story? There’s a happy ending in sight, though, to be fair, we might still need to slay a dragon or two, whether psychological or physical. See, Pluto, Lord of the Underworld, mythical Hades, is tightly trine the Sun and sextile the Moon. Even these easy aspects to the generational planets can pack a punch. They’re hard to start with, but usually have a smooth landing.
The question to ask ourselves now is what needs to be shifted, purged, released, and surrendered for us to get to our happy ending? What final hurdle needs to be overcome before we feel empowered?
For some of us, it may be that our relationships need to be, well, renegotiated. For some of us, it’s a misaligned career path. Perhaps it’s old beliefs that don’t serve us. Or maybe it’s the need to release the attachment to being right, which is always the shadow of Sagittarius.
Jupiter, the expansive ruler of this sign, sits at the anaretic degree of Taurus. He’s come to his last stop. He’s about to move on into variety, change-loving Gemini. In Taurus, he’s joined by a dignified and strong Venus, lady of love. It’s a Full Moon that smacks of excess. Of unbridled hedonism. Of reckless pleasure and sensual delight. Should we hold back? Well, only we can decide that. Sagittarius, after all, isn’t known as the sign of excess for nothing. So yes, perhaps we need to give ourselves the gift of pleasure. We’ve had somewhat of an arduous slog through Taurus with Jupiter expanding the energies of this placid sign. Growth has been slow, but there’s been growth. Rewards are in order. Being at the last degree, we have the full maturity of his sign to play with.
Relationships, material stability, embodied, somatic work - these may all be the underlying themes to our personal Full Moon story. It’s time now to send it off in style and await the new chapter ahead of us. The new journey. Uranus, as usual, influences this Full Moon by his proximity to Jupiter and Venus. Our experiences could perhaps end on a surprising note. But it’s nothing that we haven’t come to expect. The ability to adapt to sweeping change is etched into our cells now. We’ve got this.

Gemini's Venus Dance
As Venus transits through Gemini on May 25th, you may feel a stronger attraction to those with whom you can connect on an intellectual level and share similar mentalities. This fast-paced, quick-moving energy contrasts with the slower tempo of Taurus, which may have influenced Venus-related areas such as love, finances, values, material possessions, and beauty over the past month. With Venus now in Gemini, you might notice things picking up the pace again, or feel the need to get the ball rolling in these areas.
It's important to watch out for potential lower expressions of Gemini energy, such as being unfocused, inconsistent, and nervous. Try to let go of any feelings that you need to rush or that things aren't happening quickly enough. Being an Air sign, Gemini embodies a masculine or yang energy, which may lead to a desire to go-go-go, getting bored easily, and moving on to the next thing or, in the case of relationships, the next person.
During this transit, you may prefer meaningful and insightful conversations, feeling curious and open to listening to others’ points of view or sharing your own. However, avoid being too pushy or judgmental, and strive for flexibility and adaptability, considering things from multiple perspectives. Gemini teaches us to do our own research and gather information, discerning what our Truth is.
Allow yourself to open up to learning and gaining wisdom through experiences with others. As an Air sign, Gemini energy can feel scattered and nervous, potentially leading to mental confusion or uncertainty about decisions. It may also be challenging to focus on one thing at a time. Try to slow down and connect with your heart, grounding yourself and quieting your mind to counter overthinking, anxiety, or chaos.
The symbol of Gemini, the twins, signifies duality, versatility, and communication. This is an excellent time to address any communication issues or imbalances in romantic relationships, business relationships, or partnerships. You may also feel curious about new ways to invest or sharpen your intellect. This is an ideal time to gather information and delve deeper into topics you love or feel passionate about. Venus in Gemini encourages energy exchange, be it through sharing services, exchanging gifts or knowledge, or a balanced give-and-receive dynamic.
It's also a great time to reflect on the knowledge and wisdom you hold surrounding love and finances, and consider what information you’d like to learn regarding Venus-related areas. Gemini represents connectedness, reminding us that we can be both students and teachers. In this way, Venus in Gemini demonstrates the beauty of exchange, intellectual connection, and learning from one another in harmonious, unified ways.
On June 4, Venus in Gemini sextiles the True Node in Aries, fostering a harmonious blend of love and forward movement. This aspect encourages growth and progress in both relationships and endeavors. It provides a supportive backdrop for moving forward with meaningful connections, whether personal or professional, helping you navigate the journey ahead with greater ease. This sextile offers an opportunity to align your relationships and goals with your life's purpose, merging intellectual stimulation with progress.
On June 8, Venus squares Saturn in Pisces, introducing tension between desires and responsibilities. This aspect challenges us to balance pleasure with discipline, making it essential to find harmony between our wants and obligations. You may feel pulled between enjoying life's pleasures and adhering to responsibilities, prompting reflection on how to integrate both. This square can also serve as a reminder to evaluate relationships and financial matters, ensuring they align with long-term goals and bring stability.
Lastly, on June 16, Venus squares Neptune in Pisces, which can blur the lines between reality and fantasy. This aspect urges clarity in relationships and financial matters, encouraging a balanced approach. Be cautious of idealizing or romanticizing situations, and strive to see things as they truly are. This square invites us to navigate illusions and discern the truth, helping to maintain healthy dynamics in relationships and practical approaches to finances.

Connections and Reflections
The King of the Gods, AKA Jupiter or Zeus, is shifting from slow-moving, patient Taurus to quick-witted, silver-tongued Gemini on May 25th, 2024. Here, he’ll stay until June 9th, 2025, making this year-long sojourn one of curiosity, variety and knowledge-building. If things have moved too slowly for our liking in Taurus - well - we’re about to pick up the pace to a breakneck speed. The sign of the twins loves nothing more than to be busy. In fact, the busier, the better.
Jupiter symbolizes growth and expansion. Being the biggest planet in our Solar System, he’s larger than life. He heightens the energy of the signs that he visits, for better or for worse. In Taurus, there was a focus on financial, material and relationship growth. In Gemini, we move into the more abstract realms of the mind. Looking at the signs from an Evolutionary perspective - from the Aries infant all the way to the Mystic Crone symbolized by Pisces, Gemini is the symbolic Toddler. Learning about the world for the first time, this open-minded sign is curious to a fault, quick to learn, highly adaptable and extremely changeable.
And thus, as a collective, the energy picks up and expands beyond home and hearth to wider horizons, But not too wide, mind you. Gemini likes to keep it close to home. That’s why this sign is associated with neighborhood, community and short journeys. The Toddler is still young, still learning about what feels safe. There’s a hunger to learn but not (yet) to step into the intimidating world of experience.
So. Expect more talking. More communication. A multitude of ideas. Expect to network with the people closest to home. Know that we’ll be taking many, many short trips. Being the sign of knowledge, we’ll see an increase in workshops, in courses, in the desire to learn more, to explore different skills. The mind is hungry when Jupiter is in Gemini.
The danger here is that we end up taking in too much information. This leads to brain drain and information overload, possibly even nervous system fatigue, seeing as Gemini rules this system in Medical Astrology. After all Jupiter is ‘detrimented’ in Gemini, meaning that he's not at his very best. Gemini’s dark side is excessive change, restlessness, the inability to commit, the tendency to gossip, to slander, to drama. Jupiter doesn't care what he expands. It’s not his job to discern. It's up to us, then, to know when to draw the line. To know when enough is enough. To know when to stop a wagging tongue and a wandering eye.
Jupiter’s main aspect will be to square planet Saturn in Pisces. When the planet of expansion meets with the planet of contraction, well, the result can be one in which we need to find the balance between these two extremes. This is a time to manage our growth sustainably, lest the foundations that we lay come apart the moment Jupiter leaves Gemini for the sensitive shores of Cancer.
