@villareport@venecasagrande I keep reading he’s Lindelof 2.0.. he’s back up…he’ll plug a gap etc. But this guy will have to play at some point and that’s the worry. We all saw him at Spurs..
Decided I couldn’t care less about supposed “big clubs” being able to spend 🤷♂️
The rules have hamstrung us for years and Emery still has us competing at the right end of the table.
Other clubs have overspent and regressed.
There’s something to be said for consistency. Many signings have come and gone and what remains are those that are willing to buy into Emery’s methods… and look how far that’s taken us.
If you pick apart the bones of our squad, we’re competing with sides whose squads are, man-for-man, significantly “stronger”.
So how significant is a player’s perceived individual quality anyway when many of our current squad were dogshit under previous management?
Emery is the cheatcode. Emery is the key.
Whatever squad we end up with in August, if we still have Emery I’ll be confident of a strong season.
Let the others spunk their cash on players trying to replicate what we achieved hiring one man.

@HotspurLane If commercial revenue= success, why have Spurs got worse over that time? That’s all you have is commercial revenue- Villa have actual success on the pitch. All I see is Spurs signing above average players.
