🇱🇧⛷️Hey @Olympics it would be great if you tell the incredible story of the Lebanese cross-country skier Samer Tawk who is competing in @milanocortina26
Samer, who participated in the 2018 Olympics, suffered a devastating fall from a 14-meter cliff while skiing in Lebanon in 2019, breaking his hip and parts of his body.
He stayed for 3.5 months in bed, underwent 9 surgeries, lost 17 kg of muscles and doctors told him he would never be able to ski again.
Seven years later, fueled by a relentless mindset and intense training, @Samertawk_oly is back competing at the Olympic stage. He still feels pain in his body and hasn’t fully healed.
He may not be chasing a medal, but being there again is his greatest victory of all.
