What’s one thing you’re most excited to see from United this season? 👇
@JacobsBen Everyone’s talking about Barcelona vs Real Madrid.
Manchester City still hold the biggest card. If they refuse to sell, the rest doesn’t matter.
🔴 Football heritage isn’t just about who’s winning today.
It’s built on history, iconic players, unforgettable nights, global support and the impact a club has had on the game.
I agree with parts of this pyramid… but I’d definitely move a few clubs.
Which club is ranked too high or too low? 👀

@TouchlineX Interesting list, but I think people confuse current success with football heritage.
They’re not always the same thing.
I’d still make a few changes to this pyramid though. 👀
@FabrizioRomano Money doesn’t look like it’ll decide this one.
It’s now about the project, the manager and where Rodri sees himself competing for the biggest trophies over the next few years.
@alex_crook@JacobsBen@talkSPORT Barcelona may be leading the race, but the biggest hurdle has never been Real Madrid.
It’s getting Manchester City to actually agree to sell Rodri.
@real_thebomb 🔴 You can feel the anticipation already 😂 Next season needs to be the one where the quality starts showing consistently. Big moments, big performances. 💪🏾
🔴 Two years away from the Champions League… and the official UCL page’s first reaction to Bruno Fernandes is simply: “Bruno 😁”.
They might have missed Manchester United more than they’re willing to admit.

🔴 No “Free Kobbie Mainoo” this season.
Kobbie has already had the backing of Michael Carrick. When Carrick took over, he trusted him and made him an important part of his team until the end of the season.
But now the situation has changed. There are new legs in midfield, with experienced players coming in to compete for those positions.
Kobbie is a special talent and I want to see him succeed, but being a Manchester United starter has to be earned — not given because of reputation or popularity.
Carrick’s message was clear: if you want to be a starter, you earn it.
Competition should push Kobbie to another level, not create excuses for him.

Two goalkeepers leaving on the same day shows how much movement there is in United’s squad planning.
The Vitek deal is the interesting one though — the 35% sell-on clause and buy-back option suggest United still believe there’s potential there. It’s less about giving up on him and more about giving him the regular football needed to continue developing. 🔴
🔴 Two goalkeepers leave Manchester United on the same day as Bayindir joins Celta Vigo and Radek Vitek completes his permanent move to Middlesbrough.
The interesting part is Vitek’s deal.
A 35% sell-on clause and a buy-back option show that United still see potential in him. This doesn’t feel like the club giving up on his development — it feels like recognising he needs regular first-team football that he simply won’t get at Old Trafford right now.
Sometimes development means creating a pathway elsewhere.

@markgoldbridge Signed a 25-year-old Bayındır for €5m and, three years later, could still recoup €4m.
Not every transfer works on the pitch, but losing very little financially while giving the player a fresh start isn’t bad business.
It was clear his future had changed the moment United brought in two goalkeepers ahead of him.
Bayındır had his opportunity under Ruben Amorim but couldn’t make the position his own. A move to Celta Vigo gives him the regular football he needs, while United continue reshaping the squad.
Good move for everyone.
Altay Bayındır got his opportunity under Ruben Amorim, but he simply didn’t do enough to convince.
The club then went out and signed two goalkeepers ahead of him in the pecking order, which told you everything about how they viewed his future.
A loan to Celta Vigo is probably the best outcome for everyone. He gets the chance to rebuild his career, while United move on with a clear goalkeeping hierarchy.

🚨🔵⚪️ Celta Vigo have agreed deal with Man United to sign Altay Bayindir as new goalkeeper, here we go! 🇹🇷
Understand it’s a loan move with €4m buy option, fee subject to changes based on appearances.
Bayindir, authorized to travel for medical and contract signing by #MUFC.
@JacobsBen Bruno Guimarães isn’t just another signing—he’s one of the Premier League’s best midfielders joining a direct title rival.
If Arsenal get this over the line, it’s hard to argue they haven’t seriously strengthened.
Will this prove to be the signing of the summer?
Newcastle have negotiated a respectable fee, but replacing Bruno Guimarães will be far harder than selling him.
Arsenal know exactly what they’re buying: leadership, intensity and proven Premier League quality.
Is this the signing that finally tips the title race in their favour?
@FabrizioRomano Bruno Guimarães transforms Arsenal’s midfield on paper.
For £75m, they aren’t buying potential—they’re buying one of the Premier League’s best midfielders in his prime.
Title-defining signing?
Mount’s quality has never been the issue. His availability has.
The midfield is undoubtedly deeper than last season with Tielemans and Santos, but if the club decides against signing another midfielder because they expect Mount to stay fit all season, that’s still a gamble.
You build a squad for what you’ve consistently seen, not what you hope will happen.
@FabrizioRomano The Premier League has lost another icon. Whatever happens in Turkey, Salah’s Liverpool legacy is untouchable. One of the greatest the league has ever seen. 👏🇪🇬
🔴 Benjamin Šeško is one to watch this season.
His start last campaign wasn’t exactly explosive, but after the managerial change he showed another side of his game — stepping up from the bench, scoring important goals and eventually earning his place back in the starting XI.
With a full pre-season under Michael Carrick, I expect him to come out flying.
I still see Šeško as the natural number 9 to lead the line. Mbeumo can offer goals and versatility, but Šeško’s profile gives United that true focal point up front.
Can he become Carrick’s main man this season? 👀
