HABTEK üyesi olarak ortakları arasında yer aldığımız proje önerisi, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Arslan yürütücülüğünde @UfukAvrupa_TR TÜBİTAK Ufuk Avrupa Hassas Teknolojiler Çağrısı 2025 kapsamında kabul edildi.

Proje kapsamında, 6G teknolojilerinde kullanılabilecek LEO hava-yer ağları için yeniden yapılandırılabilir dalga formları ve güvenli haberleşme kanallarının geliştirilmesine katkı sunacağız.

Bu süreçte, Connecta IoT uydularımızdan veri toplanması ve işlenmesi ile kablosuz haberleşme kanalının karakterizasyonu konularında ana sorumluluk üstleneceğiz. Medipol HABTEK @medipoltto ve Polytechnique Montréal @polymtl ile birlikte yürüteceğimiz bu çalışmanın, yeni nesil haberleşme teknolojileri ve uydu tabanlı bağlantı çözümleri için değerli çıktılar oluşturacağına inanıyoruz.

Başta proje yürütücüsü Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Arslan olmak üzere tüm proje ortaklarımızı tebrik ediyor; bu önemli iş birliğinin ülkemizin 6G ve uzay tabanlı haberleşme teknolojileri alanındaki yetkinliğine katkı sağlamasını diliyoruz.

@roketsan ile imzaladığımız “Şimşek-1 Uydu Fırlatma Sistemi ile Fırlatılacak Vatoz Uydu Sistemi Tedariki” sözleşmesi kapsamında, ROKETSAN’ın Şimşek-1 görevi için geliştirilecek mikro uyduyu Plan-S olarak sağlayacağız. Bu görev; Türkiye’nin milli fırlatma, uydu ve uydu alt sistemleri alanlarındaki yetkinliklerini aynı mimaride buluşturarak, ülkemizin uzay tarihçesine stratejik bir katkı sunacak.

Plan-S olarak, milli uzay ekosistemimizin gelişimine katkı sağlayan, yerli mühendislik gücünü ileri taşıyan ve Türkiye’nin uzaydaki bağımsız kabiliyetlerini güçlendiren projelerde yer almaktan büyük gurur duyuyoruz. At @SahaExpo 2026, we took another proud step forward in support of Türkiye’s growing space capabilities.

Under the contract titled “Supply of the Vatoz Satellite System to Be Launched via the Şimşek-1 Satellite Launch System,” signed with @roketsan Plan-S will provide the microsat for the Şimşek-1 mission. This mission will make a strategic contribution to Türkiye’s space journey by bringing together national capabilities in launch systems, satellite platforms, and satellite subsystems within a single architecture.

As Plan-S, we are proud to take part in projects that strengthen Türkiye’s national space ecosystem, advance local engineering capabilities, and contribute to the country’s growing presence in space. At @SahaExpo 2026, we took an important step toward strengthening Türkiye’s next-generation communications infrastructure through space-based technologies.

Through the “Satellite and 5G/6G Integrated Communication Solutions” Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with @UlakHaberlesme we are joining forces to develop solutions that support the interoperability of satellite technologies with domestic communications infrastructure. Held in the presence of @SSTEKResmi General Manager Mr. Suat Baylan, the signing ceremony marks a meaningful milestone in bringing Türkiye’s terrestrial and space-based communications capabilities together under a shared vision.

By combining Plan-S’s end-to-end expertise in satellite systems, mission operations, satellite IoT communications, and space-based infrastructure development with ULAK Haberleşme’ experience in domestic 5G/6G technologies, this collaboration will help pave the way for more inclusive, secure, resilient, and seamless communications solutions. ⚡️We have successfully completed the turnkey GIS scope of the Verbena NGCCPP facility owned by ENKA Kırklareli Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. The system was commissioned with the successful integration of Hamitabat NGCCPP and Alibeyköy Substation connections. All engineering, manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning processes, including SCADA and communication systems, were carried out by our team. The project was delivered with an infrastructure designed for future expansions.

Over the past week, we took part in two key moments in the @CelticNext @EUREKA_NETWORK community that helped sharpen our project idea, orchAstra.

First, we joined the Celtic Next Proposers Brokerage Day In Vienna, hosted by the FFG Austrian Research Promotion Agency and @6G_SNS_IA 6G Smart Networks and Services Industry Association. It was a valuable opportunity to hear strong ideas in next generation telecoms and explore what comes beyond 6G.

Then we hosted our consortium-building session and pitched orchAstra, a mission-agnostic, software-defined space-to-terrestrial network layer. It turns satellites into cooperative, programmable network nodes, safely orchestrated at the system level. Built on top of existing satcom systems, orchAstra focuses on orchestration and coordination across multi-orbit architectures.

2025 was the kind of year where our calendar needed mission control. 🚀

We waved off 12 Connecta satellites, accelerated our path toward the Observa constellation, and expanded our global service footprint with new authorizations in Türkiye, Australia, Sweden and Denmark. On the ground, we leveled up operations with a new ground station in Sweden, delivered 1,000+ Connecta IoT Modems into real-world deployments, and stayed out front by showing up at major events; speaking, sharing lessons learned, and turning handshakes into real connections. Along the way, we signed new partnerships, earned meaningful awards, and closed the year with a long-term, strategic agreement that will be a global turning point for satellite-based IoT. 🛰️

Tailor Made Energy Storage System with Hybrid Cooling Architecture

Pomega has delivered a first of its kind, EU funded energy storage system engineered specifically to meet the technical requirements of Elektrometal. Designed and executed as a tailor-made project, the system integrates both Liquid-Cooled and Air-Cooled technologies within a single ESS to address customer defined operational conditions.

The liquid-cooled section is supported by a dedicated chiller, while the air-cooled module incorporates an integrated AC unit together providing stable and efficient thermal performance across diverse load profiles and environmental conditions.

A unified control logic coordinates cooling management, safety interlocks and BMS functions, ensuring robust thermal safety through active monitoring and protective operating limits.

Developed under an EU funded program and delivered within a three month timeframe, the system reflects Pomega’s capability to design, engineer and commission customized solutions with high reliability, long term performance and application specific precision

Behind the Scenes of a Tailor-Made Hybrid Energy Storage System ⚡️

This week, we interviewed Pomega PMO Manager Engin Oruç about one of our latest engineered solutions: a 700 kW air-cooled hybrid energy storage system designed for off-grid operation in extreme 55°C conditions.
This tailor-made solution was engineered by Pomega as part of a wider project delivered by Kontrolmatik Technologies, who is leading the overall system integration and project scope.

From CFD-based thermal design to redundancy architecture, hybrid inverter configuration and long-duration autonomy planning, this project demonstrates how we engineer reliable power where the grid cannot reach.

Engin shared insights on:
• Why the system operates as two independent 350 kW units
• How hybrid inverters manage solar, battery and generator inputs
• Cooling strategy and thermal management for high-temperature environments
• The role of AC/DC panels in safe and flexible field operations

This solution will soon be deployed to a construction site in Iraq to ensure uninterrupted, fuel-efficient and sustainable power, powered primarily by solar energy and supported by intelligent hybrid control.

Terzi Usulü Hibrit Enerji Depolama Sistemimizin Perde Arkası ⚡️

Bu hafta Pomega PMO Manager’ı Engin Oruç ile, off-grid koşullar için tasarlanan 700 kW hava soğutmalı hibrit enerji depolama sistemi üzerine yaptığımız röportajı gerçekleştirdik.
Bu terzi usulü çözüm, genel sistem entegrasyonu ve proje kapsamının liderliğini üstlenen Kontrolmatik Teknoloji tarafından yürütülen daha geniş ölçekli bir projenin parçası olarak Pomega tarafından mühendislik edildi.

CFD tabanlı termal tasarımdan yedeklilik mimarisine, hibrit inverter konfigürasyonundan uzun süreli otonomi planlamasına kadar bu proje, şebekenin ulaşamadığı noktalara güvenilir güç ulaştırma yaklaşımımızın somut bir örneğini oluşturuyor.

Engin röportajda şu başlıklara değindi:
• Sistemin neden iki bağımsız 350 kW üniteden oluştuğu
• Hibrit inverter’ların güneş, batarya ve jeneratör girişlerini nasıl yönettiği
• Yüksek sıcaklık ortamları için soğutma ve termal yönetim stratejileri
• AC/DC panolarının sahada güvenli ve esnek operasyon sağlamadaki rolü

Bu çözüm, kısa süre içinde Irak’taki bir sahada devreye alınarak kesintisiz, yakıt tasarruflu ve sürdürülebilir güç sağlayacak. Enerjinin ana kaynağını güneş oluştururken, sistem akıllı hibrit kontrol mimarisiyle destekleniyor.

We’re pleased to announce that the Connecta IoT Network has been formally included in the Executive Order on the Use of Radio Frequencies Without a Permit issued by the Danish Digital Agency. This decision enables our LoRaWAN-based satellite IoT services in the 862–870 MHz band in Denmark.

With this step, Denmark becomes the first country in Europe to explicitly enable satellite-IoT communications in SRD bands and anchor them directly in national regulation. Under the updated framework, the Connecta IoT Network is permitted to operate low-power radio equipment communicating with satellites (LPD-S / satellite IoT) on a licence-exempt basis in Denmark.

This forward-looking move positions Denmark as a frontrunner in next-generation satellite IoT connectivity and sets an important precedent for other administrations as we continue to advance accessible, standards-aligned IoT connectivity worldwide.
