Consider this my official job announcement!!
Thrilled to join Team @Lynn4NYC on the government side as Communications Director and continue working for District 29.
See you in City Hall!! 🗽
This morning, we were horrified to learn that numerous individuals were leaving violent threats and derogatory comments on the social media pages of several New York City Council Members.
Voters For Animal Rights (VFAR) condemns in the strongest possible terms the rhetoric directed at New York City Council Members following the collapse and death of carriage horse Deniz on June 9, 2026. This is not activism. This is not advocacy. It will not be tolerated.
We will not equivocate. Harassing and threatening the safety of any person is wrong. Full stop. It does not matter how deep your passion is. Anyone engaging in this behavior is not an ally to animals.
Violent threats do not save horses. They alienate our democratically elected officials and put them and their families in danger. They hurt the very conversations needed to protect horses and support the people whose livelihoods are tied to this industry.
They make it harder to bring everyone to the table to achieve what we should all be working toward: a safer, more compassionate future that protects horses while ensuring carriage drivers and their families are supported through a fair transition.
To the NYC Council Members on the receiving end of this inexcusable and abhorrent behavior: Voters For Animal Rights stands firmly with you. We are appalled that this is happening, we reject it without reservation, and we are deeply sorry.
To anyone engaging in harassing, threatening, or demeaning behavior: You are not helping. You are actively harming the horses you claim to love.
Stop.

Today marks 10 years since the tragic shooting at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida, a heartbreaking act of hate that took the lives of 49 people and forever changed countless others.
As a proud member of @NYCCouncil LGBTQIA+ Caucus, I remember those we lost and honor their memory by continuing the fight against hate, discrimination, and violence, particularly as we celebrate Pride month!

Councilmember Lynn Schulman raised concerns about the new office absorbing the community affairs.
She said prior admins have assigned a point person for council and community boards to reach out to over issues, but that has yet to happen.
Take shelter indoors immediately. Stay away from windows. Secure loose outdoor objects. Avoid unnecessary travel until the storm passes.
If you hear thunder, go indoors. Conditions can change quickly.

It’s a *Toy* Story 🤠
You knew it! My new original song “I Knew It, I Knew You” for Disney and @Pixar’s @toystory 5 will be yours on June 5th. I’ve always dreamed of getting to write for these characters who I’ve adored since I was a 5 year old kid watching the first Toy Story movie. I fell instantly in love with Toy Story 5 when I was lucky enough to see it in its early stages, and I wrote this song as soon as I got home from the screening. Sometimes you just know, right?
You can pre-order now exclusively at https://t.co/NoneI6kxdH and catch Toy Story 5 in theaters June 19th ☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️
