If I, an non medically trained person, attempted a lumbar puncture, I'm fairly certain I'd be arrested for assault or ABH.

Physician Associates (PA) have no business even thinking about lumbar punctures, let alone attempting one.

PAs are a ploy to hit targets whatever the cost. They shouldn't exist.

In my unqualified opinion, there should be more support for nurses with x̌ years of experience to "uprate" to being a doctor. They are an untapped gold mine of knowledge, experience and understanding of medicine.
