Just finished Polygamist and you guys reduced it to being about sex, when it’s so much more layered than that 😩. There are daddy issues that led to Sarah wanting to kiss Magesh, dysfunctional family dynamics through Freedom’s story & him being an alcoholic from being neglected, resentment, poverty, envy through Sarah, Magesh grappling with being treated like an outsider & ice boy by his own brother, Elsie convincing herself she’s the exception despite Jonasi’s history of cheating in high school, and even the stigma around HIV through Jonasi choosing traditional medicine over his ARVs.
There’s far more going on than the surface level conversations of sex people have been having on the TL.
In theory? Yes
In reality? No! Once you learn that everything is the way it is by design. You realise that people aren't where they are by choice & that if they wait for things to come together 1st, they'll never find love. This is an indictment of our failure as a society
The only reason you people are romanticising the idea of another global pandemic is because you don’t think the people that are going to die will be you and yours.
Foolish, short-sighted idiots.
Please note that tomorrow (1st of May) at 10:00 AM we are meeting at Mazwi’s Spazashop in Vosloorus Ext 9, which is opposite to Benjamin Dube’s church. Where the community will be embarking on a total shutdown of all Pakistanis Spaza Shops in Vosloorus. We want justice for Mazwi Kubheka. Vuka Darkie and other organisations will be there…
Quick tip..
If there’s a chance your finances will be sorted in the next few months …do not sign those surrender documents.
Do not sign away that vehicle.
They will try to convince you that it’s just for safe keeping until you bounce back …it’s a lie.
they will auction your R 500k vehicle for R100k and you’d still owe the bank a huge shortfall.
It takes a couple of years (sometimes even more) for them to obtain a court order that terminates the agreement and orders repossession .
Buy yourself sometime by not signing the consent to repossess, by the time they issue summons you’d likely be in a position to settle the arrears.
Driving school never tells you this:
Each time you drive at 120km/h in rainy conditions, you're at least on a 30% chance of causing or being involved in an accident.
In wet roads, your breaks at any speed above 100km/h are almost useless.
