Last year, I released BELLWETHER, a podcast of speculative journalism. It's everything I know about radio, sci-fi & being a human.
I hope you listen over Pride—for its imagining of future queer ancestors, and the struggle for trans health in the present.

@kenrudin Ken, I used to work with you at NPR. Influential journalists who "didn't have political views" is how we got here. The Post opted out of an endorsement for the same reason as NPR—fears of alienating big donors + looking too liberal. Now we're here.
podcast = media file + rss feed
spotify is not podcasting. apple is not podcasting. joe rogan is not podcasting. most things that people say is podcasting is not actually podcasting.
something to think about:
years ago, my friend & favorite musician @emperorx had a podcast called DIRTCASTER/SONGSPEWER. he'd record a song and put it on the feed whenever he felt like it.
no intro, no credits, definitely no ad buys.
let's have more of that. now is the time
i don't know if my tweets go anywhere anymore. the algo punished me for going quiet long ago.
but on the off-chance you get this and you're among the laid off: i'm so, so sorry. you'll get through this.
and: now is the time to make the thing you've been dreaming about.
Been thinking a lot about descriptors. If Hamas is not a sovereign nation, then Israel can’t really be at “war” with them. And so if the Israeli state is in a conflict with territory over which they control—wouldn’t that make this a civil war?
