Can someone explain the purpose of cursive writting. It just makes everything so much harder to read and is just an extra bunch of lessons for no added benefit. Feels like I am the idiot here but I cannot understand why?

Money does not make the world go round, people do. Money has percieved value our value is innate. If we trully want to we could make money paper tommorow and make shells our new currency or just eliminate it as a whole.

Pretty ridiculous situation. the Seychelles women’s team chose to send 4 women to the Olympiad that wanted a free holiday to Budapest and knew little more about chess than how the horsie moves. Meanwhile there are apparently much better female players that weren’t considered.

There who have come and gone, Darnia Dupree, Elza Hoareau, Jesse Eulentin (been in the Olympiad womans team before). Chess has been around but many dont feel like they grow so they leave. No way 3 players who dont play in tournaments and resign after 15 moves are who we send.

Serious question. If an organization in Africa says it needs resources after decades of functioning how long before you hold them accountable for mismanagement. At some point we cant just let that bevthe excuse for everybody

@Abcd42971738 @TarjeiJS I am from the Seychelles and I can confirm that these people besides board 4 Rachelle do not play chess. We have females who play chess and are better. These were just the ones selected but this is by far not our best female players.

These ladies besides Rachelle do not even compete in local tournaments which you can see on https://t.co/vnrJWfFBSk. I am a Seychellois who plays and teaches chess in schools btw

@altmanndaniel1 @vlad_chess I play chess competitively and am a sports journalist and I can tell you I have spoken to one of our female players who thinks these woman need practice. The chairman spoke to the news before leaving and stated this was a thank you present basically for helping chess.
