"there's no setback but he went from practicing to not practicing and without a boot to a boot." It's not just the Cubs, guys. Everyone uses special words to disguise injuries. Clearly, it's not healing the right away but TECHNICALLY it's not a "setback"
Brad Underwood says "there's no setback" for David Mirkovic, but:
"We'll be without Mirk for a little while. They put him back in a boot. We're gonna be very patient and diligent with it. We want to make sure that it heals correctly and in a fashion that sustains for the year, and his career."

When you start to hear "and their career" when a coach describes an injury, it feels serious. The Illinois basketball team simply is not a contender without a 100% David Mirkovic.
#illini Brad Underwood: "We'll be without Mirk for a while. They put him back in a boot."
We want to make sure he heals correctly, and we want to make sure he's healthy not only for this season but for the rest of his career.
