As a woman who has gone through Menopause and now faces increased risk of cognitive decline auto-immune disease and heart attacks, the fact that Hormone Replacement Therapy was never offered or discussed by any of my doctors really pisses me off. It was only this year as the pains in my bones and joints became unbearable that as I started looking for treatments that didnt require massive big pharma drugs use I became aware that HRT can be taken and should be taken as early as late 40s for women in peri- menopause. The fact HRT had a BLACK label warning on it is outrageous.
Some dodgy study in the 1980's made it seem that HRT was the bogey man of treatments. Now I could be generous and assume that doctors and big pharma were erring on the sign of caution- but they didnt with the experimental gene jab- 99 % of them jumped on board, nor did they hesitate about puberty blockers which are the same as chemical castration -and prescribed them to children under 10 as well as massive amounts of hormones to those claiming to be trans. The same Hormones women were being denied who actually required them as our brains are full of estrogen receptors. Women's brains are hard wired into endocrine and reproductive systems- so we are ready to go
The cynical side of me says, that big pharma and the medical industrial complex make billions from Women's pain and suffering and that is too good of a market to loose by fixing a problem.
I saw my mother suffer from rheumatoid arthritis shingles an aortic aneurysm and kidney failure. She was in constant pain spending a fortune bouncing from one 'specialist' to the next. She placed way too much trust in these snake oil salesman- but they all got their beach homes and sailboats.
I started HRT last week after finally getting in to see a specialist and the next day the pain in my joints had eased considerably, that awful bone burning feeling has pretty much gone.
Men too should look at Testosterone for helping kick start their body into healing, its so powerful. I read years ago that veterans had found it beneficial using Testosterone as a platform for helping with a lot of their issues instead of relying on a cocktail of drugs and SSRIs. Remember our brains are hardwired into our endocrine system and it massively influences our body. Think of how much we are under attack of chemical hormone disrupters in everyday life.
RFKj is now looking at getting this label removed but women need to educate themselves and act as their own advocate as there is no cut off period to start or to finish HRT
