Bombshell: The Browns are finalizing a trade that will send two-time Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams, per @rapsheet, @TomPelissero and me.

In exchange for Garrett, the Rams are expected to send Pro-Bowl edge Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick and other draft-pick compensation still being negotiated to the Browns.

After 4 p.m., any A.J. Brown trade would allow his salary cap hit to be spread over two seasons and would also open 2026 cap space for the Eagles.

Somewhere in the five months of trade speculation, it's been lost just how special of a player A.J. Brown is. He's elite. He can change games. And I don't think he's about to fall off the cliff. 

If he gives a franchise 2 years of elite production, that's worth the expected value of a late first-rounder.

One can understand the dynamics involved that would put the Eagles in the position to trade him without splitting hairs about Brown as a player.

He's special — and I would expect that on the field this season.
