#WHUMUN – 63’ VAR OVERTURN
VAR checked the referee’s call of goal – and established that Casemiro was in an offside position and recommended that the goal was disallowed.
There are growing calls for a criminal case against Morgan McSweeney for failing to declare £739,000 in donations to his “Labour Together” outfit.
But many journalists are missing a bigger question: who MADE the donations?
I’ll give you the names they won’t… 🧵
And so we move into the next phase of reality’s Squid Game: the end of fact-checking. From now on, what happened, what you think happened, what you wanted to have happened, and what other people said happened, are all of equal value. Other than people getting killed, what could possibly go wrong?
The underground pipe that burst leaving 30,000 homes without water for 3 days, should have been replaced by Southern Water 17 years ago, because it was 30 years old.
But they didn’t bother and left it for 47 years until it exploded.
That’s a Privatisation ‘Benefit’.
Rishi Sunak boosted Government payments to his wife and father-in-law's company by more than 50% in a single year.
We now give Infosys more than £1m a day.
Blatant corruption.
2023: Rishi Sunak explains how when he was chancellor got rid of regular checks for PPE contacts
2024: UK taxpayers are forking out £890,000 every week to pay for storing the PPE
Total spend on storing PPE to date is £990 million, which is the cost of sending 500 asylum seekers to Rwanda (at £1.8m each). And the Conservative party wants you to believe they are the party of sound money 🤷♂️
I see the UK government has, under pressure finally had to reveal the cost of sending a refugee to Rwanda. £1.8 million per person. For that same cost of ONE individual an entire refugee processing centre could be built and staffed in France solving the boats problem overnight.
The UK got 4% of its gas from Russia and nearly 70% of electricity from non-fossil fuel sources.
Yet bills went up 315%, far more than anywhere in Europe who were reliant on Russian gas.
This is because the whole thing was a scam to rob you, and more than 80% was profit.
I FB
PR spin from Thames Water is that it hasn't paid dividends since 2017.
Ministers repeat the lie in parliament.
Thames Water audited accounts show that it has paid dividends to its sole shareholder (its parent company) - e.g. £45m in 2023, £37m in 2022.

England has the only privatised Water in Europe, the most water pollution, and the most expensive water.
The UK has the only fully privatised energy, and the most expensive.
England has privatised rail, the slowest, least reliable and of course the most expensive in Europe.
