I saw your post earlier today and at first I just laughed it off. I even made fun of it in a post of my own.

But then as the day wore on, I started to get mad the more I thought about what you said and the wretched comparison you attempted to make.

Then I saw Data Republican’s takedown on you, and it turns out you are yet another spoiled fatcat making riches off the Deep State.

Now I am PI$$ED OFF.

Let me tell you a few things.

A dear friend died in the Pentagon on 9/11. Her name was Rosemary Chapa. She was a senior civilian in the Defense Intelligence Agency who worked her way up from being a clerk/typist. She was all of about five feet tall, she loved her husband, her children and her grandchildren, and she collected bottles of hot sauce (they were all over her cubicle when I worked with her). She was one of the most joyful people I have ever known. Her laugh was infectious and she lit up every room she walked into. And terrorists murdered her on 9/11.

Those same terrorists started wars that I then served in multiple times, at great personal cost. I lost friends and colleagues in battle, and I was fortunate enough to come home with my body intact, unlike so many of my peers.

Like many, I still bear the invisible scars of that day and the many days after.

And all President Trump is doing is improving the White House so we have a grand facility to hold events with foreign leaders, rather than sticking them in the backyard in a drafty tent.

That is ALL HE IS DOING, for my benefit and for yours.

HOW DARE YOU COMPARE THAT SIMPLE ACT OF AMERICAN EXCELLENCE TO 9/11.

Your despicable post disgraces Rosemary, everyone who died that day, everyone who served and suffered thereafter, and pretty much everything that brave Americans have endured for 24 years.

What kind of pathetic excuse for a tyrant are you? I'm writing this letter freely, without fear of midnight arrests, and that alone makes my blood boil. Here I am, just another citizen who can mock you openly, and you do NOTHING about it. Some dictator you turned out to be.

Every damn morning I wake up expecting to see your royal guard crushing dissent, but instead I see protesters marching down Pennsylvania Avenue with their stupid signs, exercising their "rights" like this is still some kind of democracy. It's embarrassing. You let them walk right past your palace, sorry, the White House, chanting whatever they want. A real king would have them in chains by noon.

And don't get me started on those late-night comedians. Night after night, they stand on national television making you the butt of every joke, and you just... let them? You tweet about it like some common citizen instead of shutting down their studios. Colbert, Kimmel, all of them, still broadcasting, still breathing freely.

What kind of amateur hour dictatorship is this?

But the absolute worst... no, the sickest irony, is watching you cower before federal judges who get to overrule your every decree. You, King of America, should be the final say, yet here you are hiring lawyers, filing motions, dancing to the tune of legal procedure as if you’re some accountable public servant.

Here we are, still having elections. ELECTIONS! People marking ballots, counting votes, as if their opinions matter. You had your chance to cancel them all, declare yourself ruler for life, and instead you're letting people prepare for another one in 2028. The sheer incompetence of your tyranny is staggering.

I can publish this letter. I can send it. I can share it online without disappearing into some dark prison. My neighbors can read it and nod along or argue with me, and we'll all wake up tomorrow still free to complain. You've failed, utterly and completely failed, at the most basic task of any self-respecting autocrat: silencing your critics.

So congratulations, Your Highness. You've managed to be the most disappointing dictator in history, a tyrant who tolerates democracy, a king who kneels to the Constitution, an emperor with no clothes and no power to punish those who point it out.
