I was dressed exactly like this when I was run over in Moycullen in broad daylight.
The factors that most strongly influence cyclist safety are driver speed, enforcement levels, road layout, and safe cycling infrastructure, not what we are wearing. A ๐งต
Brutalist, cheap to maintain. A huge disappointment.
Hopefully all of our elected officials will raise queries into how this cost โฌ7m and seems to have deviated from the original plans significantly.
Council shouldn't get off lightly delivering this crap.
RIP Bishop Lucey Park
Only green space in city centre is no longer a green space
Seriously how did this cost โฌ7million?
Its depressing & says Cork says f*ck biodiversity & climate
Ironically the one redeeming feature is that the railings & gates are gone to make it thoroughfare
President Michael D. Higgins and Sabina would like to thank all of the many members of the public who have written to them to wish them well as the President tonight completes his term of office. The thoughtfulness of so many people in writing to them is greatly appreciated
From Monday 18th August 2025, Cork City Council will introduce filtered permeability on York Hill which will be closed to through vehicular traffic between Wellington Road and Summerhill North.
To support sustainable travel in the city, two-way pedestrian and cycle through access on York Hill will be retained. Vehicular access will be maintained to residential properties on York Terrace accessed via Summerhill North.

Hi @corkcitycouncil !
Why are you designing cycling infrastructure in 2025 that leads to direct conflict between bike users and pedestrians, and then spits bike users directly back onto the road before a narrow bridge with zero priority?
This really isn't acceptable.Clontarf St
@northernassist hi, im booked to Leeds using affected train 17.01 from Newton le Willows. This was cancelled. Can I use transpennine to Manchester and swap to Leeds train there instead? 17.14 train showing with change at Victoria. Thanks
Hi @IrishRail can you please ask the conductor to enforce the Quiet Carriage on the 10.25 Cork-Dublin currently halfway en route? Kids running around and everyone on phones everywhere. Thanks.
Petition @corkcitycouncil to either (a) paint, (b) green or (c) demolish and start over with this eyesore of a car park ๐ฅฒ
Our lovely quays deserve better.
@what_if_cork Those also have shards of glasses sticking out along the edges of where the windows once were. Absolutely lethal if any kid grabbed onto them or if someone fell into them. They are an eyesore and a danger & Eir+council should be ashamed leaving them in that state on our main st.
Bus Eireann once again leaving passengers stranded!
225 16.20 service from Kent Station no show.
30 mins waiting.
225 pulls up, dumps passengers out and drives off stating he's not boarding passengers
This service @IrishRail@TFIupdates advertise to connect people to Airport.

Embarrassing
@CorkAirport@Buseireann
Machine for tickets broken yet again and turned off with not even a simple paper notice to inform passengers of alternatives.
Passengers deserve better. Visitors deserve better. So, so embarrassing.
Second largest gateway to Ireland!
Easter Saturday early morning services- 220 - utter failure once again from Bus Eireann to run a proper service on the city's only 24 hour route.
Why bother.
