A coach can only do so much to help an athlete improve. Ultimately, the success of an athlete comes down to their inner drive. Once an athlete becomes intrinsically motivated, they can get the most out of their coach and reach their full potential.
Never let your lack of size or natural talent keep you from chasing your dreams. Believe in yourself and work your hardest to overcome your shortcomings!
WHAT A START! Aidan Phelan (@a_phelan7) opened the scoring with a fantastic goal 3 minutes into the match, as @RRboysoccer cruises to a convincing 6-0 win over Laredo Alexander in the Regional Semifinals! #KSATsports@Rattlersports

Any coach can make a player improve by just using power, rewards, and punishments. But it takes a special coach to improve a player while respecting their free will and mental health.
As an athlete, the only people who truly understand what you go through mentally and emotionally are your fellow athletes. Therefore, you need to lean on each other for support.
The most important thing an athlete needs in order to succeed is desire. With enough of it, an athlete will do whatever it takes to succeed. Without it, nothing else matters.
