@wentworthdexter@fesshole If everyone in society looked at politics and decided they wanted to live in a better society for all, these issues could start being remedied. To say that it's useless to do so only illustrates you don't care about society. If you did, you would fight for its issues to be solved
@wentworthdexter@fesshole The majority feeling that nothing will ever change is the reason why nothing changes. Ignoring the issues facing society will do nothing to help it, and as much as it would be nice to escape from those issues, it only continues to damage society. People need to start caring.
@KalebBowers9@Cerealk99095525 @TerryKilby1 @PlanetOfMemes@POTUS If you're sucking that amount of wealth from society, you should pay taxes. If you think the way forward for society is everyone acting selfishly, then what actually is the point of society. Self-enrichment at the expense of others is abhorrent and fundamental capitalism.
@GarboGamer90000 @Impregnator69@DelusionPosting there are those that wasn't able to, or suffered another problem which hindered success. This doesn't mean they should starve, nor does it mean that multimillionaires couldn't spare any of their wealth to help people in suffering. We shouldn't promote selfishness over humanity.
@GarboGamer90000 @Impregnator69@DelusionPosting It's utterly sickening that people like you feel rich people have any justification for being ignorant. Most of the time, these 'successful and hard-working' people had contacts, had unethical business practices, or better opportunities. Even if they earned it all from nothing,
@GarboGamer90000 @Impregnator69@DelusionPosting You return to 'moral grandstanding' as if it's bad to promote what is morally right; it further suggests that there is no dispute between us about what is morally right, only that you think rich people don't need to adhere to it since you wouldn't want to if you were wealthy too.
@GarboGamer90000 @Impregnator69@DelusionPosting Your opinions are the ones shared with indefensible and morally-bankrupt figures like Rishi Sunak and Elon Musk. If you would further defend the likes of those imbeciles, you only demonstrate your contempt for anyone that doesn't conform to your views - we are all human.
@GarboGamer90000 @Impregnator69@DelusionPosting How is it you feel you can assess intelligence with your political beliefs? You attack intellegence because I think that wealthy people should use their wealth for everyone's benefit and not their own self-interest, when it has been shown that the right is less intelligent?
@GarboGamer90000 @Impregnator69@DelusionPosting Indeed I am a socialist, does that scare you? You say the taxes they pay are really that high as if trillions aren't lost globally in tax evasion.
If you are a person that is uncaring of the world's problems where people are suffering, then what is the point of being here?
@GarboGamer90000 @Impregnator69@DelusionPosting You are just categorically wrong. If you are a multimillionaire with money that you could buy all you could need a hundred times over, you should be expected to contribute to helping world problems on whatever scale is reasonable. That's why taxation exists.
