@trentbartonland Hello! My Mango card has been removed from my account yet when I try to re-register it, it obviously says it's already registered... Can you help?
@Luce_SmithX @smith_cameron19 It's all 'bout the rainbow plated Carribbean Blue - it's on my wishlist for when I qualify, until then I have a purple MD Instruments steth!
๐ข TODAY the law is changing to #ProtectTheProtectors
Weโre taking a stand to better protect emergency services workers who dedicate their lives to helping the public ๐ฎโโ๏ธ ๐จโ๐
@WeekesLauren @samdharrison@kosher_medic I can certainly relate - out on front line ambulance placement doing myriad of relief shifts, on the 'rest' days we want to do exactly that, but need to do extensive self directed study, assignment writing, case studies etc. essentially working 7 days a week.
An impressed @EMASNHSTrust crew just told me about two @SJAVolunteering Cadets from #Chesterfield coming to the aid of an individual after witnessing them collapse, delivering 1st aid, calling 999 and giving up their coats and even giving a full handover to the crew! Amazing! ๐
@Luce_SmithX If you want to do some reading, the guidance is not aimed at pre-hospital but certainly does give some insight what's happening when they leave your care :-) https://t.co/io3txJ8ApZ
@Luce_SmithX BSPED recommends 10mg/kg of normal saline but only in the shocked paed. (Poor cap refill, poor peripheral pulses, tachycardia and/or hypotensive) repeat as nessicary up to 30ml/kg maximum. But document it concisely and carefully and make sure it's highlighted in SBAR.
Thats two good deeds done today at the very least... Donation #13 done and joined the Bone Marrow Register (which I didn't know was as easy to join as it was!) Thanks @NHSBT@GiveBloodNHS for your hospitality as always ๐โค๏ธ
We rarely tweet about patient contacts, but in the past 24hrs we've attended 3 cardiac arrests in separate Sports Centres and all 3 were awake when we arrived because the staff have used AED's and CPR...! Amazing! @EMASNHSTrust@TheBHF@GoodSamApp@NHSEngland@OFFICIALWMAS#cpr
@Helimed54@EMASNHSTrust@TheBHF@GoodSamApp@NHSEngland@OFFICIALWMAS That's amazing! I'd love to understand the statistics for cardiac arrests at gyms and sports centres, it'd be a fascinating read I'm sure, especially the aetiology i.e is it unfit people, the fitter people or is there no correlation!
