Don’t give any heed to cowardly tongues
There’s glory out there, out there to be won.
The Truth and Unity Amendment has passed with 76%! One down and one to go. Come to Indy next year!
Thank you @albertmohler for your bold leadership. Thankful to Mike Law and Juan Sanchez for laying the bricks! Women are not qualified to be pastors and this is GOOD for the body because it’s GOD’S design for the church. Clarity very much needed and the messengers agreed. Onward, SBC 👊 Onward now.
The Truth & Unity amendment passed overwhelmingly.
75% for
25% against
Hallelujah. Now on to Indy in 2027 where we have to do this one more time.
I expect the opposition to pull out all the stops between now and then to kill it.
Plan to be there next year to vote for it.
One of the arguments being made against Dr. Mohler's motion is that it is a "distraction" from the Great Commission.
But the Great Commission is more than tallying up decisions and baptisms - it is glorifying Christ as head of His church by obeying all that His Word commands.
@coconservative7@Protestia@WillyRice 100%. And I’ve been doing this a long time. Willy is the only leader I have EVER seen make such an admission publicly.
He did it in 2023 when it cost him, Today, heaven rewarded his faithfulness.
Dr. Mohler speaking in defense of his Truth & Unity Amendment to clarify that churches will not be in friendly cooperation with the SBC if they have women serving as pastors—in either office or function.
“This is a dividing line between conservatism & liberalism.”
Southern Baptists: We won one big vote today. We have another big vote to win tomorrow. As Dr. Mohler says, "it's time to get this done"
Be in the room first thing in the morning, and let's pass the Truth & Unity Amendment to defend God's Word on who can be a pastor in the SBC!
I’m thankful for the overwhelming support to move ahead so that we can vote on the Truth and Unity Amendment tomorrow morning. Plan to be there by 8am to vote for the amendment. Let’s get this thing done. Please be in the room early—ready to vote—so we can get this done.
Here’s our reaction to Willy Rice’s victory with a statement from our Executive Director, @WilliamWolfe:
“Willy Rice’s win just might be the spark needed to secure true revitalization across the SBC in the years to come. In many ways, the fight has just begun. But the SBC is worth fighting for.
His successful election as the next president of the SBC proves there is a real appetite for courageous, uncompromising leadership that can both honestly address the problems facing our Convention and champion our gospel work.”
