BREAKING: The US personal savings rate fell -0.1 percentage point in June, to 2.7%, the lowest since June 2022.

This marks the 5th consecutive monthly decline, bringing the cumulative drop to -1.7 percentage points.

This is also the 3rd-lowest monthly reading since April 2008, during the Financial Crisis.

To put this into perspective, the personal savings rate averaged ~5.5% between 2014 and 2019.

The only period in modern history with similarly low saving rates was 2005-2007, when the rate fluctuated between 1.4% and 3.3%.

US households are struggling to save money.

This is heartbreaking… and infuriating.
A Venezuelan firefighter declared his own grandmother dead — said there was nothing they could do.

Two days later, El Salvador’s rescue teams rolled in with advanced technology the Venezuelan teams had never even seen. They found her ALIVE.

President Bukele immediately offered to cover all her medical needs. Turns out? She was fine.

If it wasn’t for El Salvador stepping up, she would’ve been left there to die.

This is the difference between a country that invests in real capabilities (capitalism + competent leadership) versus a socialist system that never prepared for tragedy.

Nos informan desde el equipo del centro de acopio de la Escuela Francisco Pimentel que existen denuncias de que efectivos de seguridad (CONAS) y representantes del régimen habrían tomado el control del centro de acopio y de las donaciones recolectadas durante estos días.

Asimismo, se nos informa que un camión del SENIAT estaría retirando insumos del lugar, lo que genera profunda preocupación sobre el destino, manejo y distribución de la ayuda humanitaria que fue levantada con tanto esfuerzo por ciudadanos, voluntarios, médicos, donantes y vecinos solidarios.

Ante esta situación, pedimos a la comunidad no enviar más donaciones a este punto hasta nuevo aviso.

El esfuerzo de tantas personas no puede ser utilizado, desviado ni manejado sin transparencia. Esta ayuda tiene un propósito claro: llegar directamente a quienes más la necesitan.
