Residents of Samachana village, Rohtak, Haryana, had been facing waterlogging caused by the overflow of dirty pond water into nearby residential areas. Under Flood Relief Phase 2, the village received 8,800 feet of 8-inch pipeline. Around 4,000 feet of the first drainage line has been laid underground and inspected.
Following the re-survey, a 20 HP heavy-duty Crompton motor was provided along with a 20-foot suction pipe, L&T starter, cable wire, PVC pipe, reducer, air valve, plates, clips, joints and steel nuts and bolts. Mohla Village, Hansi, Haryana, which had been facing severe waterlogging since 1995, has received additional assistance to complete its drainage project. Under the Kisan Mazdoor Bachao Abhiyan Phase 2, Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj provided 800 feet of additional pipeline, two 10 HP motors and all required accessories after a survey confirmed the remaining requirement. According to the Gram Panchayat, the completed drainage line is expected to provide long-term relief to affected agricultural land.
