Daily Morning Market Brief
Date: 30/10/2026
Indian markets are expected to consolidate with a negative bias following yesterday’s remarkable short-covering rally. Having said that, the short-term structure favors a bullish tone. Global cues remain relatively encouraging, with US bond yields cooling off significantly to 4.90% and the US Dollar Index also retreating from higher levels. However, elevated crude oil prices remain a concern as the Saudi-Houthi conflict intensifies, while progress on peace talks between the US and Iran remains limited.
The Indian IT sector could outperform today, supported by a sharp sell-off in AI- and chip-related stocks globally. On the flip side, Cognizant trims 2026 revenue growth guidance again amid macro uncertainty which could limit the gains. Both Infosys and Wipro ADRs witnessed decent gains in yesterday’s session, which could provide a positive trigger for domestic IT stocks.
Overnight, US markets ended lower following stronger-than-expected economic data, with initial jobless claims declining to 194K and Q3 2026 GDP growth accelerating to 3.4% from 2.2% in the previous quarter. The Dow Jones declined 0.25%, while the Nasdaq ended significantly lower, shedding 1.38%.
The US technology space witnessed intense selling pressure, with Alphabet plunging nearly 13% and Intel declining over 17% in after-hours trading. Weakness has also spilled over into Asian markets, with the Nikkei and KOSPI trading sharply lower.
Domestic earnings
•INDIGO: Loss narrows YoY to Rs 1,879 crore; revenue rises 26%.
•ASIANPAINTS: Net profit rises 7% YoY to Rs 1,068 crore.
•TRENT: Net profit rises 9% to Rs 490 crore.
•COALINDIA: Profit jumps 53% YoY to ₹6,516 crore
•AMBUJACEM: Net profit tanks 90% YoY to Rs 114 crore, revenue rises 10%.
•VEDANTA: Net profit surges 151% YoY to record Rs 6,202 crore; EBITDA doubles.

Today RELIANCE with 3 other companies from NIFTY & 14 from FO space will declare its results.
NIFTY 50 established a short-term uptrend, creating a higher high and higher low sequence after breaking above 23830. The index closed above the 20-day EMA, which is now sloping higher after today's strong bullish move. The market breadth continued to improve, with the number of stocks trading above the 20-day EMA being higher when compared to the past 8 days' data. However, the index will try to test resistance from the 50-day EMA and previous swing high around 23160 and 23180. As far as the derivatives positioning is concerned, aggressive long buildup along with short covering was seen after many days. However, on a move above 23000, more short covering will be seen. Clearly, the bulls have an upper hand over the bears now.

Daily Morning Market Brief
Date: 29/10/2026
Indian markets are expected to open lower on the day of the BSE monthly contract expiry, following a mild uptick in bond yields after the Federal Reserve announced its latest interest rate decision. The Fed kept rates unchanged at 3.75%–4.00% in a 10–2 vote. However, the possibility of further rate hikes remains on the table, as inflation continues to stay above the 2% target and financial conditions are not yet considered sufficiently restrictive. Markets are pricing in an 85% probability of a rate hike at the December 9 meeting, which could keep global market sentiment cautious and weigh on domestic equities.

Over the last few sessions, we have seen some improvement in the market breath, On the basis of improvement in market breadth, a recovery in index prices could be seen in the near term. Any dip could be an opportunity to go long but always maintain a cautious approach with tight SL and don’t be aggressively bullish on the markets

Daily Morning Market Brief
Date: 28/10/2026
Indian markets are expected to open sharply lower, with a significant gap-down opening anticipated ahead of the Fed’s interest rate decision later tonight. Weakness is once again likely to be led by the IT sector, as AI- and chip-related stocks continue to show signs of recovery.
Additionally, Reliance Industries and telecom stocks will remain in focus amid the much-awaited Jio Platforms listing scheduled for today.
Brent crude once again continues to trade around $115 per barrel as there is no concrete development on peace initiatives, Iran has publicly denied agreeing to a formal second round of direct peace talks with the United States, citing U.S. demands, a recent maritime seizure in the Strait of Hormuz, and an ongoing naval blockade. This comes amid the news of renewed Houthi attacks on Saudi infrastructure. US bond yields are trading above 5.00%
Higher crude oil prices are expected to keep the Fed’s tone hawkish, potentially strengthening the US dollar and putting pressure on equities and bullion prices.
Another key global development is the outcome of the Israeli elections, which appears to be heading towards a hung Knesset. However, the political uncertainty is unlikely to ease tensions in the region.
Overnight, Dow Jones closed almost flat with a gain of 0.03%, whereas NASDAQ ended with a gain of over 1.00% to close at 1.18%, Asian markets too are trading upbeat, with KOSPI gaining over 5.50% and NIKKEI gaining nearly 1.25%. SK hynix reported record third-quarter 2026 financial results driven by artificial intelligence chip demand.

Another IPO from my favourite Market Ecosystem Segment open in primary markets 👍
IPO of EAAA India Alternatives, an interesting financial-services business is open with Issue size of ₹1,200 Cr and
Price band of ₹1,585–1,665 closing on
28 October 2026
This Edelweiss Group company manages investments for institutional investors, wealthy individuals, family offices and other clients. Unlike a conventional mutual fund company that primarily manages listed stocks and bonds, EAAA specialises in alternative investment strategies in
Real Assets and Private Credit categories.
As of 30 June 2026, the company reported approximately ₹95,345 crore in assets under management (AUM), including 10 active Real Assets funds and 16 active Private Credit funds.
Why this matters:
The business can earn recurring management fees as well as variable income when investments perform well. But private credit also carries default risk, and investment performance can vary with economic and market conditions.
What do the numbers tell us?
-Revenue growth is strong: total income increased approximately 23% in FY26.
-Profit is growing more slowly: PAT increased around 15% in FY26, compared with approximately 31% in FY25.
-Returns on equity are attractive: ROE of around 28% indicates strong accounting profitability relative to shareholder capital.
-Borrowings declined in FY26: a positive development, although the business's credit and investment exposures need to be assessed separately from its corporate borrowings.
Major strengths and risks
Key strengths:
-Large investment platform: nearly ₹95,345 crore of AUM provides substantial scale.
-Diversified strategies: exposure to real assets and private credit reduces dependence on one investment category.
-Healthy profitability: FY26 ROE was approximately 28%.
-Potential industry tailwinds: demand for alternative financing and differentiated investment products may support future expansion.
-Established track record: the business has operated since 2008 and serves institutional and high-net-worth clients.
Key risks
-No fresh capital: the ₹1,200 crore issue is entirely an OFS. The money goes to the selling shareholder, not the company.
Market and liquidity risk: a strong company can still deliver disappointing listing or post-listing returns if investors have already priced in its growth.
