@VABVOX When my husband died I cannot tell you how many friends and family members said “Let me know if there’s anything I can do for you.” It’s truly annoying . Either do something or don’t. Please don’t ask me in the midst of the most paralyzing grief to ask for something.
September 30 is the 99th anniversary of the Elaine (Arkansas) Massacre where an estimated 200 black sharecroppers were killed for attempting to organize a union to get higher prices for their cotton crops. See the story of the Elaine Massacre here: https://t.co/PyxwtHEZ67.
"In Texas, for example, lawmakers put into place the most restrictive photo ID law to date, possibly disenfranchising more than 600,000 registered voters and more than a million voters who are eligible to vote and could register." #VotingRIghts https://t.co/mmBcE6nolN
If you are a Texas gun owner and support the 2nd yet you’re sick of the NRA blocking sensible gun laws and plan to vote for @BetoORourke retweet this. Maybe we can get an idea of how many of us there are
This is outrageous!
This is hanging in a neighborhood in Lansing. Heshima mace, a black woman saw a neighbor hang this in their yard. She contacted the Lansing Police Department but they refuse to make her neighbor take it down so she posted this to social media.

It’s somehow perfectly fitting that the GOP are dragging their feet on #VAWA at the same time they are dismissing allegations of violence against women by their Supreme Court nominee. RT if you think it’s time to renew the Violence Against Women Act!
I’ve gotta take issue with my friend @BetoORourke on one thing. Tonight he said Ted Cruz was a divider. I serve in Congress with Ted and disagree.
Ted Cruz is a uniter. Democrats and Republicans alike cannot stand Ted Cruz.
Thank you Ted for bringing us together.

Hearing about sexual violence in the media and online can be very difficult for survivors and their loved ones. Remember to take care of yourself during these times. Below is a thread of resources:
This is false. The @ACLU case challenging Trump policy includes as plaintiffs families that have been separated despite presenting themselves at ports of entry, seeking asylum, and *never* crossing unlawfully into the US. Here’s one case: https://t.co/ivJtcKrg3W https://t.co/HqZSOwxilz
Trump administration now has three contradictory positions on family separation:
1. It is a good policy that the Bible requires.
2. It is a horrible “law” that is somehow the Democrats’ fault. Don’t ask us why.
3. It’s not our policy at all.
All 3 are lies. Evil shameless lies. https://t.co/xkPHQg3RFn
