My heart goes out to all the students, staff, and parents at Parkcrest Elementary in #Kamloops after such a major loss to your community. I’m relieved and grateful that everyone is safe.
Schools are where our kids learn, grow, & start to accomplish their dreams – to see one destroyed like this is heartbreaking. I’m thinking of the all the Parkcrest Elementary School students, teachers, staff & families who have lost an important part of the Kamloops community.

Teachers, please don't do these 5 things this year:
* take away recess as a punishment
* use silent lunch on whole group
* make students go more than an 1- 1 1/2 hr without a break
or physical activity
* take students misbehavior personally
* give up on your students
We all want to live a happy life, so we have to learn to live together in trust and mutual respect. We do have differences of race, nationality, religious faith and so on, but these differences are secondary in comparison to our equality in being human.
