Lately, I've been including this in my prayer: "If I'm not meant to have it, Lord, please remove the desire from my heart to want it, and help me find peace in its absence."
The hardest pill I had to swallow this year was realizing I meant so little to people who meant so much to me, and that kind of truth hits different.

Some people only value you when it's convenient for them, and the moment you stop pouring into them, you see their real intentions. But the blessing in that lesson is clarity.

I'm not mad, I'm done. That's what people don't understand, I'm not mad at anyone, I'm just done. Done dealing with situations that rob me of my peace.
