Today we helped the toy shop keeper! The toys have lost their price tags, so we had to use digit cards to give them new prices. We used our place value knowledge to: make number using number cards, compare and order numbers and explain our reasoning.
This afternoon in PSHE Poplar have been thinking about the people that are special to them. The children made cards to give to their special people and wrote why they are special to them.
In Poplar we have started our new topic on everyday materials, we explored our classroom to see what we could find made out of different materials. We then looked at the properties of each different material.
This week Poplar as a class have hit over 500 dojos, we celebrated with a bubble party! 🫧 The children had the best time chasing, popping, and dancing in the bubbles.
In Poplar we’ve been learning about primary and secondary colours today - using our colouring pencils to explore how colours mix and create colour combinations 🖍️🎨
What an amazing day!
Poplar had a fantastic time at the National Science and Media Museum in Bradford. The children loved exploring the interactive exhibits, learning about film and photography, and taking part in lots of hands-on activities. Such a fun and inspiring trip! 📺📽️
