@edinhelp There's a large branch hanging in the road for over a week now, dangerous to cyclists and cars. Heading south on Mayfield Road toward Liberton Brae, on the left just after passing King's Buildings.
@edinhelp ETA? I’ve just arrived back in Edinburgh after a week away and I see the signage is still there. Sandbags, pointless arrow sign, in the middle of the road.
@edinhelp After another round of road repairs, signage and cones have been left behind and need collecting. Middle of the road near Alnwickhill Road and Liberton Brae junction.
@edinhelp having had a series of roadworks on Liberton Brae this year, large sections were given fresh tarmac. Last week a major hole had opened in this and was then been repaired quite fast. Glad it was fixed, but I’m curious who pays for this? Us taxpayers, or the contractor?
@virginmedia How have you flagged it? I see they have multiple variants and they reply to all requests for VM support. They’re also much faster to reply than you. I think that, given they are impersonating you, should make a concerted effort to deal with it.
@virginmedia hey - are you aware there is a scammer taking advantage of people lodging complaints with your account here on X? I just chatted with them a bit and it’s clearly a scam. Since they respond faster than you it’s pretty dangerous.
@virginmedia so we have an outage since 1pm yesterday and by email you say it’ll be fixed by 3pm Monday! Your app says it’s all good though, no fault, and your fault service page says can’t connect to my hub. How can I get proper info? And come on, 50 hours of outage?!
@jammach@DavidPGCSE Britain only started pronouncing the H there in the late 19th century, it’s a relatively new thing. Maybe the US will eventually catch up!
@edinhelp Morning, I reported a broken traffic light (twisted 90 degrees) on 16 December (102000072111). The email from council says you'll attend within 12 hours. That was a while ago and the light is still broken. What's going on?

@edinhelp I'm talking about the signal in red here. It is a car signal (red/yellow/green) and is pointing into the trees as you can see here. It's not so clear in the picture, but there is also some structural damage which is probably related to the angle it now finds itself at.
@edinhelp Definitely still broken, saw it today. It's Langton Road, not Avenue. You can see it in the picture here - on the far left - the signal is pointing into the trees. It's on the Kings Buildings side of W Mains Rd.
@virginmedia Hi, my new Hub 5x has been nothing but pain. I disabled auto channel switching to be able to work without interruptions, but now my printer and car cannot connect because of a lack of legacy support. I need to switch to modem only mode but I can’t see how? Help!
@virginmedia That seems like a crazy oversight. So if you're in a fibre area you HAVE TO use the Virgin Hub Wifi router, even though it has severe limitations? Going to have to find a way to hack around it.
