“This is textbook.”
And still happening. @forlittlekeira @ @PViaterLawyer thank you for all your advocacy to help others after what you’ve been through.
"In Canada, 30 to 40 children per year are killed by a parent." — @forlittlekeira, who lost her daughter in an apparent murder-suicide, advocated for #KeirasLaw to educate judges on domestic violence. At 8/11pm with @PViaterLawyer | Producers: @spaikin & @PreetiBhuyan
If u could follow I would b so grateful this account is in memory of my daughter who died aged 19 yrs 5 days
It's her journey from diagnosis to death in 2016 I'm desperately trying so hard to raise awareness of brain cancer especially the dreaded grade 4 glioblastoma with thanks
Thank you @forlittlekeira for your endless advocacy. Kiera will never be forgotten. And so many women and children will hopefully get the justice and protection they deserve.
Breaking news! Today Bill 102 was granted Royal Assent. This means that Keira’s Law is now law in #Ontario mandating training on gender-based #IPV and coercive control for provincial court judges and justices of the peace. @forlittlekeira@MillcroftAD
Dear incoming interns:
Remember that your attendings have been practicing medicine for years, while you're essentially getting a new job every 4 weeks.
Know that your job is not to know everything. You job is to show up, ask questions, & care deeply for your patients.
@drkimalexander your mom is right! I just got your newsletter & the story about Alice (a happy one!) brought tears to my eyes.
Looking forward to the next one, it was so informative, easy to read and compassionate ❤️
People complain about long Wait times to get non-urgent appointments & long waits in the office. But what do you think we are doing? Caring for someone else who needs it.
Happy Pride Month from your favorite gay surgeon! Visibility is important. I can’t tell you the number of wonderful conversations I’ve had with my patients because I proudly wear my 🏳️🌈 pin to work daily. And I will fight to keep creating these safe spaces. Happy Pride!

Today's World Family Doctor Day. These MDs are the *foundation* of healthcare. Beyond recognition, they need resources, remuneration, respect, & the influence on our system that befits their training & expertise. Much ❤️ to my FP friends & the FPs who care for my fam! #WFDD2023
