@MohammedAlo @BioLayne As a patient and a diabetic I have to wonder if I have to pick my own poison, I can either have a heart attack from high cholesterol or I can go blind and lose limbs from high blood sugar. No great choice there!

@MohammedAlo This chart shows that consumption of corn sweeteners are significantly higher than in the 1970's. I assume that includes high fructose corn syrup, which is the topic of a lot of debate and seems to warrant additional study!

@SBakerMD I try to read about meds that I take. I am especially cautious about anything that could be addictive. The BP drug that I am taking is apparently linked to lung cancer, per my reading not per my doctor. It is the best drug I have taken for my BP, but do I want to risk cancer?
