Any guesses between KL Rahul and Shreyas iyer who is being asked for an india comeback in t20i?
One batter has 445 runs at 181 sr and one has 333 runs at 164 sr.
I am sure the guy with 445/181 is being asked? Right? Roght? Right?
People make fun of KL by saying this is KL Rahul 7.0, 15.0 version etc
But in the last 2 yrs he is averaging 40+ in tests with more than 1300 runs.
In Odi cricket he has averaged 50+ for 5 years ever since he was shifted to no 5 in 2020 NZ series
Scored 500+ runs in IPL last season at no 4 and 3 with 150 SR
Striking at 185+ this season with more than 400 runs.
Been really good for more than 2-3 yrs now in all formats and most importantly has been consistent
@cricketaakash and all comm people, Iโm sorry when you were constantly saying that the 18th should be bowled by jofra but today Tushar bowled better as a bowler. Jofra got KL because he threw his wicket, Jofra bowled in the slot only. Tushar didnโt execute well but correct choice
While the world debates Kohli, worships Dhoni, and celebrates Rohitโฆ I quietly (and very confidently) chose KL. And Iโll keep choosing KL, over every debate, every stat, & every era, right until the very last ball you play.
Happy Birthday, my idolo๐ซถ

KL turns 34 today but his test debut still feels like yesterday. The hundred in the next match & that innocent hug with virat feels like yesterday but itโs been 12 years & time has flown by. I hope he plays many more years because it would not be easy to watch cricket without him
Rahul was leading India in Tests and ODIs whenever Rohit was unavailable. Ideally, he should've been the next captain, but Gill and Iyer somehow moved ahead of him in the captaincy race. And itโs not even like Rahul is injury prone like Hardik, for whom BCCI made excuses and pushed SKY and Gill ahead of him in the T20I captaincy race.
