I need a hospital bed ASAP! My current one is broken and causing me so much pain. I've found the right bed for $8k. Any help, even $1, would mean the world. Thank you! https://t.co/8fHuSigv7Y
@SurvivorPenner I never get on here and this is the first thing I saw. I needed that. My cals is really struggling rn and I feel powerless to help. So I'm embracing you too. Shit is just hard.
I created a new group on Facebook for ALS. It's a little different from the other groups. Here's the link if you'd like to join. https://t.co/ZpyevkvguG
3) It's not a death parade. We absolutely have a special space saved for those we've lost and you can feel free to memorialize them with pictures and anything you'd like to say. However, they will all be in one post, so the group feed won't be tangled up with lots of obituaries.
2) We have guides that are organized by topics like feeding tubes, communication, gadgets, etc. They are easy to find and you're welcome to add your own input in them.
@carrie_benton I struggled so hard with formulas! Now we use some liquid hope, but we also blend real food and put it in the tube. My body is much happier with actual food.
I just want her to love me, not manage me. To touch me, hug me, pet me and tell me she loves me. Instead I get resentment and anger, raised voices. I know she's mad at the disease, but it gets aimed at me. It hurts. It really really hurts.
“Loss can feel utterly isolating, a solitary cell without a window."
In this month’s #DearTherapist roundup, my @theatlantic editor @beccarosen features 4 columns on grief and loss. 💔
Pls share with anyone who might need these today. https://t.co/zaRiVW8AzL
Nearly every night one of us will say, "I don't want to talk," and that's that. I have no one. Not really. People say they are here for me but they don't show it. I feel that I'm just wasting away all by myself. People just watch.
My cals and I can't communicate. Even when we try to talk, we don't get anywhere. She thinks I'm trying to make things harder for her. I think I'm trying to make things easier. Round and round we go. Ssdd. We just stopped talking. It's pretty lonesome.
I'm in a tough spot. My cals Granny died this week. It was a great loss. Now they are angry & resentful toward me. Because my ALS has kept them from being able to visit the past year. I don't know what to do. We're broken.
@margaretcho I have ALS and my gf has given up her life to take care of me. Help me put a smile on her face? Would you please send her a bday card? It would absolutely make her day. Please!!!!!
