Happy Carmel Feast Day! Carmel house commemorates the Feast of Mt Carmel - the apparition of Mary to St Simon Stock in 1251. Mt Carmel is a sacred place, located in Northern Israel. Carmel House celebrated by joining together for prayer, enjoying a BBQ lunch, & a blue bakesale!
We recently hosted our House Dance Competition - a tribute to the female icons of Pop! All houses gave spectacular performances - congrats to Rosaria who took out first place. House activities allow students to showcase talents, build relationships & a greater sense of belonging.
Recently, our physics students attended the Girls in Physics breakfast, featuring a presentation by Dr Karakas on Stars as Chemical Element factories.Women make up only 28% of Aus STEM workforces. We are proud to support STEM focused pathways with VCE options and expert teachers.
How soup-urb are our year 7 community? Last night they welcomed the start of winter with a family ‘Soup Kitchen’ to raise funds for @sacredheartmission, who provide support to many vulnerable and disadvantage people. Even some pets got in on the action!
We're not experiencing a power outage, & oodies haven't been added to the uniform - It's Winter Warmer Day! In a student led initiative, we are rugging up, and lights/heaters have been turned off to raise awareness around energy consumption & sustainability. Great idea girls!

1/3 Today we marked an important event in the College calendar, recognising Sorry Day in a Livestream assembly to all pastoral classes. We were honored to hear from Eva Jo Edwards - a Mutti Mutti, Boon Wurrung and Yorta Yorta woman & survivor of the Stolen Generations.
2/2 All purchased tickets will be refunded. We recognise and celebrate the dedication, gifts, and creativity of all staff and students involved, but first and foremost, commend them on the resilience they have demonstrated.
1/2 With great sadness, we announce the cancellation of our College production, A Midsummer Night's Dream. The Health and Safety of the community is paramount. With increasing COVID cases impacting our cast and crew, a risk assessment has determined this to be the best, decision.
Student Leaders brought awareness to Santa today, in support of Do it for Dolly - a campaign to make the world a kinder and safer place for children. Our community joined together to share words of kindness, united in our strong stance against bullying. @dollysdream_aus
