Delighted to inaugurate Seminar of Student Accommodation Providers Forum of India (SAPFI). Over 6 million of the nearly 36 million students in higher or technical education institutions in the country live in hostels. Many more stay in paying guest or informal accommodation.

SAPFI came into being in March 2019 to initiate action for improved accommodation for students & offer ease of living to them. Model Tenancy Act, which will soon be circulated to States/UTs after Union Cabinet’s approval will facilitate student accommodation as well.
