With a heavy breath, he groaned by the extreme pain as he tried to adjust his position. He was laying down on the ground, and yet, it was too painful to even rest.
If he had one wish, his wish was for all his pain to go away.
Perhaps even living was a part of that pain.
A groan of pain and frustration slid off his tongue as he sat weakly on the ground. Luckily, there was an alley where he could hide perfectly without anyone knowing or hearing the whimpers and groans he would make from time to time due to his lethal injuries. +
This time, things were different.
He wanted to give up and just die right there. What was the point in striving to survive when faith always led him to a dangerous path. If only someone could just help him and treat him with respect...
Someone..
His eyes opened wide
Inference...yes, Inference! He jumped, finally having a perhaps-perfect idea. But that joy lasted for a while when pain overtook him once again.
It was painful, really. He couldn't even sit comfortably without bumping or applying pressure on injuries by accident.
He was thinking. Thinking too hard that he didn't even realize he was pressing on a bruise and wound that was swelling around his head. He retorts his hand, cursing at himself for being lost on his own thought. Years of being a Mélodis, he was barely scared of anything
Perhaps, if he had stayed quiet, will things be different? Sometimes, he just wished his brother genuinely loved him. But he knew that DM's pride and ego were far beyond comprehending. He wished things were so different. That the Mélodis truly loved him as a child, and not a tool
Hope that he thought he and his brother will finally have a decent brotherly relationship. But of course, God held a grudge towards him for some reason. Even after he saved his life, his brother will never change. He knew that.
Yet he still clung onto that hope.
He felt it deep inside: several fractured bones and ribs. He couldn't help but hiss every time he touches the purplish bruises swell around his body, almost covering his pale skin. The fall took quite the damage in him, but luckily, the adrenaline was the one that saved his life
He coughed harshly, the adrenaline in his veins still pumping in his system. He didn't care about the pain. He didn't care if he was alive...
He wanted to get out.
He stood up with all his strength and didn't hesitate to run.
To run as fast as he can.
Away from the Mélodis.
( It was painful. Though it wasn't the most painful thing he had ever experienced. All the years of torture and abandonment, no wounds would ever beat what he has gone through.
He gripped the wrist of the other tightly, his face wrinkling as it showed pain and struggle.)
( it didn't occur to him how tall the fall would be or how many bones he'd break. But what matters is that no one will stop him.
No one will stop him from escaping hell.)
As expected, the impact from the ground was too much for him, breaking several bones and ribs
The person in front of him that he once thought of as a brother, morphed into a monstrous abomination in his eyes.)
.... Don't try to stop me."
"
(And before D.M knew...
Noir rushed towards the window and jumped.)
He finally knew what to do. He finally had an idea to escape.
Years of torture and isolation from society. Years of being used as nothing but a tool. Years of emotional torment. Years of manipulation....
He was desperate to get out
