@Silentaquiver Like they didn’t even make any offhand remarks about not being to get into contact with family that lived outside the city because of the lockdown or something. When Mike and Nancy are in the hospital would have been a good time to squeeze something in about it.
@gilb_eee It’d be cool if it looked like he was only non-prodigy bender in the bunch and it was like- sike! The fucked up modern firebending Sozin enforced didn’t flow with his true nature. To really round out the group of prodigies narratively, instead of it being lopsided.
@gilb_eee I mostly have an issue with it from a narrative perspective, tbh. Like, it’s weird that on a team of prodigy’s, he’s the one loser. It’d be more interesting if he fully blossomed after the dragons because he just wasn’t a prodigy in the specific modern ways of bending.
@artbyKowachi Time moves weird in the spirit world. In theory she could totally disappear into there for 100’s of years then die, resulting in an artificial pause/disappearance of the avatar. People probably thought that Korea accidentally brought it on them and then died in the AS during it.
@artbyKowachi I think, Korra is going to parallel Aang, except that instead of disappearing because of being frozen, she disappeared into the spirit world to try and fix the problem. They blame (probably accurately) her opening the gates for the disaster happening and then she vanished.
@Dokjaspuppyeyes I know my life and fic quality would be improved by outlining, just because when I was little writing them physically and copying them over increased quality/word count. That said, I don’t use them at all. I should. The story is as it will be.
@ssenvaniac My life improved greatly when I learned to criticize and recognize the flaws in things I enjoy. 13/14 year olds would try to ragebait me by dissing show I’m fixated on, and I’d either agree or be like That’s Valid” which throws them off so bad lol
@lateromanticss When he was little he did crayon drawings behind her counter, as an adult he does live drawings of customers with artists pencils from behind the counter. Everything changes and stays the same.
@sunlitbyers@bylerp1lled Didn’t say it was plot hole. It’s not. Literally didn’t say that. It’s just weird and doesn’t make sense if you think about it too hard. That’s not the same. It’s an example of shallow worldbuilding, maybe, but not a plot hole. Just a sort of weird and dumb.
@sunrosejasmine Also the POV characters tend to be the sort of snarky, moody teens that would would hear that phrase and be like ‘what sadistic bullshit, this is a death sentence’ so idk what they are on about.
@sunlitbyers@bylerp1lled In theory, the move should have been to plant 2 more fakes in the quarry to establish a pattern, declare there was a spree killer and bring in fake state agents to handle investing disappearances/death until the lab got the situation under control.
@sunlitbyers@bylerp1lled Dude, where do you think the scientists lived? Most of them probably lived locally, & even if he didn’t his family would wonder where he went. And the “state” just took over Will’s case, not all of them. If they faked more deaths, they could block him from all work around UD stuff
@sunlitbyers@bylerp1lled At least One person going missing/running away/dying everyday for almost a whole week is a huge red flag. If they faked 3 deaths close together (Will, Barb, Scientist man) then they could have taken the investigation from Hopper and given it to “State” people.
@sunlitbyers@bylerp1lled We never did find out what they said about the hunters or the scientist, tho. They could have let Will just be missing like Barb, they faked his death. Why just him? There is no reason to only do it to him and not the others.
@_hellshee_ Like if we are leaning into the cheese, they each could have had a different “for ___” to really lock in the Final Season vibes and act as reminder before the last episode, of how many people have been harmed by Mindflayer/Vecna. Eddie. Max. Barb. Billy. Bob. So many people ☠️
@TylerJEsquire I think it annoys people less when he does it because he’s good at getting great performances from actors. It’s most of a director’s job and not a skill many modern directors seem to have in spades. Ability in the directing part of directing goes a long way.
@CarribeanFunk@Owlch333 Some of them- Caucasian (like from the area the Caucasus) ancestry is common enough in either groups but both groups are mixed ancestry bags anyway. Ancient Trade routes and all that.
