Assalamu alaykum 🌙
The response to the Great British Muslim Convert Study has been encouraging so far — but we still need more voices and more stories to build the clearest picture yet of Britain’s Muslim convert community.
Commissioned by iERA and the Convert Muslim Foundation, and conducted by the Ayaan Institute, this is the most significant study of Muslim converts in Britain in over 15 years.
📊 739 of our 1,600 target completed so far (46.2%)
We already have some fascinating, moving, lovely, and heartbreaking stories about people’s journeys to Islam and the challenges they face.
This is a story that needs to be heard.
The survey is already revealing important insights into:
* Why people convert to Islam
* The support converts receive, or struggle to find
* Identity, belonging, community, and faith
* The lived experiences of Muslim converts across Britain
We especially need more responses from:
📍 Scotland
📍 Wales
📍 Northern Ireland
📍 The North of England
✅ Open to anyone in the UK who has converted to Islam at any point — including those who later left
⏱️ Takes around 10 minutes
🔒 Fully anonymous — all data is securely stored and destroyed after the study
If you are eligible, please complete the survey and share it with friends, family, and other converts who may wish to contribute. 🤲

Jazak Allah khair to everyone who has already trusted us with their personal journeys and experiences.
Here is a podcast I did with Ustadh Hamza Tzortsis a week ago for his Beyond Debate series. It’s about the place - if any - of ‘ilm al-kalam (or rational theology) in the religion of Islam: https://t.co/E74UGZ8LfK
Three-year-old Maryam Qadoum was killed after Israeli forces struck her tent in Gaza City.
There can be no normalisation & interfaith with genocidal baby killers, & those who defend & enable them.
May Allah have mercy on her & destroy her killers. Ameen.
One of the most horrifying scenes in human history has been revealed.
When Israel forced thousands in Gaza to collect flour mixed with sand due to severe famine.
A moment the world must never forget.

His glasses broke, and his heart shattered💔🥲
Ayoub Junaid weeps inside the displacement camps in the Gaza Strip, clutching the shattered pieces of his medical glasses which broke after he fell.
He suffers from severe visual impairment and urgently needs these specialized, custom-designed medical glasses, as he cannot manage his daily life or see clearly without them.
Israel planted explosives in a school for disabled children at dawn today in South Lebanon and blew it up.
Not a military target.
A school for disabled children — perhaps the only one in the country.
In what universe is this considered “self-defense”?
“You Arab whores! We will kill you, drink your blood and rape your girls!”
Maccabi Tel Aviv fans in Stuttgart last week.
This is who the UK government and media defended as victims of “antisemitism”.
Call Israelis out for rape, you’re an “antisemite”.
Time to be honest: We’ve all enjoyed the memes but this Arsenal team has been incredible over the past two seasons in Europe. They’ve given us so many special moments. This one will always be my favourite ❤️

الوزير الإسرائيلي يُخاطب الجنود الإسرائيليين قبل دخولهم غزة قائلاً: "أمسكوا بالأطفال الرضع في غزة وحطموا رؤوسهم على الصخور"
One of the most horrific scenes in human history has been revealed.
The moment a small child carrying a water jug to her besieged and thirsty family was bombed, killing her and shattering her body.
A video the world must never forget.
Centuries ago, Muslims from the heart of Africa walked nearly 7,000 kilometers for Hajj.
Not for days.
Not for weeks.
But for years.
They crossed deserts on foot, travelled with livestock for food and survival, and spent entire lifetimes saving for one sacred journey to Makkah.
Along the roads stood wells, inns, and shelters built by Muslim rulers and generous souls to serve the guests of Allah.
Some pilgrims returned home after two years.
Some stayed longer seeking knowledge in cities like Cairo and Damascus before finally returning with the honored title of “Hajji.”
A reminder that for many before us, Hajj was not a trip.
It was the journey of a lifetime.
