I shit you not, I first heard this theory around 20 years ago. It’s floated around ever since.

A google search now shows the same sorts of photos, but with articles that fact check the bs.

I hate how these theories simplify everything so much. This is a HUGE disaster, it’s not as simple as paid for or free, tent or hotel, just stupid vs intentional.

FEMA also houses residents in open hotel rooms. But again they can’t fit all responders and 12,000 residents, so of course you still hear about shelters and need for spaces
