The home is already a place of work--feminized, unwaged work. I'm convinced much of the backlash to other forms of work being done in the home is a fear of masculinized labor being feminized by its proximity to the home.
@seanpaulsartre_@alisoneroman It’s not great with woks, but there is a stand-alone portable induction wok setup that gets good ratings https://t.co/52dtaWepv5
I can't believe I'm going to say this but Dan Levy's new Big Brunch show is all the things that are deeply wonderful about early seasons of Great British Bake Off, but better. Gayer. More socially conscious. And absolutely zero Paul Hollywood.
Open enrollment is here! Nearly half of those enrolled in Covered California get a health plan for $50 per person or less per month. See if you can, too!
You know, it occurs to me that I haven’t said out loud why I’m still so noisy about the pandemic. Why I can’t shut up and move on. So here it is: I think a genocide is in progress.
“Don’t speak ill of the dead“ means that you don’t stand in the funeral parlor and rehash Auntie Beverly‘s two painful divorces in front of her kids.

this season of 'still processing' is reviving, electrifying & stimulating. it's amazing to watch the show become a portal to other worlds, ideas, ways of thinking. cheers to @Wesley_Morris@elyssadud@SaraKeiko@hansbuetow + the team for a fabulous run >> https://t.co/5VCgVo60yo
Students who were forced to be resilient their whole lives don’t need another conversation about grit. They need resources, guidance, sponsorship, advocacy….etc.
I wish we heard more about the people whose medical care was delayed or denied over the past two years due to Covid. The night my Dad suffered a massive stroke, he had gone to the ER for the 3rd-4th time but they assumed he was just an old guy and he kept getting Covid tests.
That a film this formally rich is just as culturally potent is a rare sight indeed.
But don’t take my word for it. Please, do yourself a favor and take @mangiotto's — https://t.co/nhqNWiSTPo
Don’t get me wrong- the nomination of Judge KBJ is a historic moment. But why are we normalizing a Black woman being verbally & emotionally abused by a committee for the public to see? Why are we applauding composure during abuse? Why must Black women suffer to make history?
