Ok. Here’s the very latest. We are stranded on the Danube. Thanks to the Bulgarian fire & rescue, we will transfer to another ship and then bus to Bucharest.

Quick update from my well-deserved vacation… the Viking ship Ullur ran aground this AM in the middle of the Danube and we are waiting to be rescued. Transylvania here we come!

Status update: on a river cruise from Budapest to Bucharest. We've had delays and cancellations all week due to low river levels.
Last night at Midnight we hit a sandbank, and haven't moved since. Currently awaiting another rescue attempt 🤣 #rivercruise #sandbank #stuck

Since the pitch black of midnight all alone with our multidirectional engines - until 0900AM with a massive Slovakian tug to assist- we haven’t budged!
