It’s been wonderful to see this year that more children in school have been taking on crocheting as a hobby, supporting each other to practise and learn!
This year, I asked each child in the year group (Year 5) what their favourite animal is and crocheted it for them as an end of year gift 🎁. We made 46 animals for the wonderful children, who were ecstatic when they received their little animal friend!
It’s such a joy to work on projects like this - seeing the children’s reactions and excitement makes it all worth the hours of crocheting. When you enjoy crocheting as a hobby, it’s a pleasure to create things that bring happiness to others!
This came up in my memories from last year. @SaraTheStory Sara Shabir crocheted her entire class so every student would have a special memento of the year. It took eight hours per student. Amazing amount of detail. Real dedication.
A week full of new experiences, a sprained ankle, wild emotions and stunning views - my first ever Year 6 Residential trip! Thank you @AdventureOke and @YHAOfficial for a fantastic time!
