@livspace Livspace Review I recently completed a home interior project with Livspace and wanted to share my experience, highlighting both the positives and the negatives. Positives: One of the major positives was the use of factory-finished materials, which provided a polished and high-quality appearance to the interiors. The reason I feel somewhat satisfied with the project is because of Mr. Darshan, the operations leader. After he took over, he corrected numerous issues on-site, kept us informed, visited us daily, and truly took care of us throughout the process. Without Mr. Darshan’s involvement, this project would have been a very disappointing experience. He went above and beyond, resolving many mistakes made by the design team and ensuring the project was completed to a satisfactory standard. Additionally, the Project Manager, Mr. Prem, was also helpful. Although he visited the project site only twice, he assisted in some critical areas and treated us with great care. His hospitality and responsiveness to our requests were commendable, making us feel valued as customers. Negatives: The overall experience was far from satisfactory due to several frustrating issues: One major problem is the lack of transparency. Livspace claimed that everything would be clear, but in reality, there were many hidden costs that were not mentioned in the initial meetings. For example, they charge an additional Rs. 25,000 for "floor protection," which was never discussed upfront. They provide a small, inadequate seat for that cost, which is of no use. Instead of offering proper floor protection like bubble wrapping or ensuring the tiles are safe, they force customers to pay extra, claiming it’s necessary for the project to proceed. If the tiles get damaged, they won't take responsibility or replace them. This feels like a hidden trap, as they only inform you about these charges just before the final payment, leaving you with little choice. Moreover, the design flexibility with Livspace is highly limited. They offer a set range of designs and don't accommodate specific requests. When I asked for a custom design, I was told it couldn’t be done. The only options available are those within their catalog, and any customization comes with a hefty price tag. For instance, in the wardrobe design, there was a lot of empty space filled with fillers that couldn't be utilized, which was frustrating as they only work with fixed height and width designs. Compared to other competitors in the market, Livspace’s prices are significantly higher, yet the service and results do not justify the cost. We approached this company because we lacked expertise in interior design and expected their designers to guide us with color choices and layouts. Unfortunately, the designers did not provide any creative input. Instead, they kept asking what we wanted, and when we suggested something, it often didn't fit well or look good. A professional company should be proactive in offering suggestions and solutions, but that was not the case here. There were also discrepancies in what was promised initially and what was delivered. For example, during the first meeting, we were told that if we opted for a modular kitchen, we would receive both a hob and a chimney for free. However, after making the advance payment, we were informed that we could only choose one, and they offered a voucher of Rs. 25,000 to pick either a hob or a chimney, which was misleading and frustrating. Conclusion: In conclusion, while there were some positive aspects, especially the dedication of individuals like Mr. Darshan and Mr. Prem, the overall experience with Livspace was riddled with hidden costs, poor communication, limited customization options, delays, and unmet promises. If you decide to go with Livspace, be prepared for a lengthy, costly, and frustrating process. It might be worthwhile to explore other interior design companies that offer better transparency and customer service.
