Passenger Permanently Banned by China Eastern After Flight Attendant Confrontation

A passenger who demanded an apology—and allegedly insisted a flight attendant let him “kick her back”—after a beverage cart accidentally bumped his arm has now been permanently banned from flying with China Eastern Airlines.

The incident occurred on September 28 aboard China Eastern flight MU6741 from Hefei to Dalian.

According to reports, a beverage service cart accidentally struck the elbow of a male passenger who was sleeping. The female flight attendant immediately apologized, but the passenger reportedly became enraged, loudly threatening her and demanding that she allow him to kick her in return.

Video shared afterward appeared to show the flight attendant kneeling in the aisle in front of the passenger. The confrontation ended only after other crew members intervened.

The passenger reportedly suffered no visible injuries and declined medical assistance after landing.

China Eastern said it collected evidence and determined that the passenger's conduct disrupted aviation safety and order and violated the dignity of the flight attendant.

The airline reported the matter to authorities, permanently refused to carry the passenger on its flights, and provided psychological and legal support to the crew member.
