These newly surfaced clips of my interactions with Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola are yet another reminder that my commitment to the struggle for justice, democracy, and the liberation of Nigeria did not begin today. Long before many of those now occupying positions of power found their voices, I was already on the frontlines of the June 12 struggle, standing with Nigerians against military dictatorship and demanding that the people’s mandate be respected.
The irony is striking: many of the opportunists, enablers, and pretenders who either opposed, ignored, or later hijacked that democratic struggle are now in positions of authority and seek to suppress those who remained faithful to its ideals. They may wield state power today, but history has shown repeatedly that repression cannot extinguish a just cause.
These clips are not merely historical artifacts; they are evidence of consistency. They show a young activist standing with the democratic movement when it was dangerous to do so, and they connect directly to the same principles that continue to guide the struggle today.
Those who now deploy the machinery of the state against dissent should remember that every generation produces its oppressors and its resisters. The oppressors enjoy temporary power; the resisters ultimately inherit history.
They will be defeated. The cause of justice endures. The struggle continues. #TakeItBack #Sowore2027 #SoworeForPresident

The Nigeria Police Force claims that the reported video was misleading. That the heavily armed men on bikes were members of a Vigilante Group and registered hunters. Pls @PoliceNG explain to us:
1. How a vigilante group is allowed to wear an army uniform.
2. Why a vigilante group is carrying heavy machine gvns.
3. Why some are masked up and don't have recognized uniforms like all vigilante groups in Nigeria.
4. Why the people in the video are loud and constituting a nuisance on roads.
Now since you claim these people are hunters, why are they allowed to posses machine guns that isn't authorized for civilians?
Once again, explain to the public why a vigilante or hunter is on army camouflage.
For the past three days, I have been reading reports suggesting that royal fathers in Kwara State have been reduced to the status of schoolchildren.
Kwara APC leaders are reportedly taking them around to solicit support and endorsements for their candidates.
What exactly is happening in Kwara?
Can anyone dare do the same with the Emir of Kano or the Sultan of Sokoto?
Yet, many remain silent.
Traditional institutions are meant to command respect, not be drawn into partisan political campaigns.
If politicians choose to diminish the prestige of these revered offices, the royal fathers should, at the very least, defend the dignity of the institution and the people they serve.
El-Rufai’s Four Months of Illegal Detention and Media Trials: Kaduna Still Stands with Him
They wanted to destroy El-Rufai’s name and record and confine his political prowess, but their plans and actions only made him a hero and caused him to be more loved.
It has been almost four months, but every court day, people come just to see Malam passing by in his tinted Hilux. People who are not paid PR agents talk about him every day. This is not politics; this is love, and that is the love the people of Kaduna have for him.
That love is not because El-Rufai is their kinsman, but because, after the Sardauna, he was the only leader under whom the people of Kaduna witnessed deliberate governance, an economic boom, committed and people-based leadership, and massive infrastructural development. Now, they truly miss him.
This is the love that will end the Uba Sani-led APC in the state. Even if the ADC does not win any other state, Kaduna is where they will win all because of one man, one vision, and one mission: “El-Rufai.”

Kwara NSCDC Burst Inter-State Robbery Network,Recovers Truckload Of Suspected Stolen Items
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kwara State Command, has recorded a significant breakthrough in its ongoing fight against crime with the dismantling of an inter-state robbery syndicate responsible for a series of burglaries and robbery incidents across Kwara State and beyond.
The operation, which was carried out by operatives of the Command’s Tracking Unit, followed numerous complaints from residents and business owners whose homes, shops, and other premises were unlawfully broken into and valuable property carted away.
Acting on intelligence and leveraging months of painstaking investigation, surveillance and inter-state tracking operations, the operatives traced the criminal network across state boundaries, leading to the arrest of one of its key members, Abdulrasheed Kadri, popularly known as “Soldier.”
The suspect subsequently provided valuable information that led investigators to a warehouse in Ibadan, Oyo State, believed to serve as a major storage facility for property stolen from victims in various parts of the country.
During the operation, the Command recovered a large cache of suspected stolen items, including a vehicle and other valuables, believed to be proceeds of criminal activities. The exhibits have since been secured and are undergoing further documentation and identification processes as investigations continue.
Preliminary findings reveal a well-coordinated criminal network that operates across state lines, targeting homes, business premises, and other locations before transporting stolen items to designated safe houses for concealment and eventual disposal.
Speaking on the development, the State Commandant, Commandant Abbas Nda Mohammed, described the operation as a major milestone in the Command’s determination to dismantle organized criminal networks and ensure the safety of residents of Kwara State.
According to him, “This operation sends a clear message that criminals will find no refuge in Kwara State. We will not allow our state to become a sanctuary for criminal elements, a corridor for criminal activities, or a repository for illegal weapons and stolen property.
“Our resolve remains unshaken. Through intelligence-led operations, strategic partnerships with other security agencies , we will continue to identify, pursue and bring to justice all individuals and groups whose actions threaten public peace and security.”
While one suspect is currently in custody assisting investigators, efforts have been intensified to apprehend other members of the syndicate who remain at large. The Command remains confident that all those connected to the criminal enterprise will be brought to justice.
The NSCDC Kwara State Command wishes to reassure residents that it remains steadfast in its constitutional mandate of protecting lives, property, and critical national assets and infrastructure. Members of the public are encouraged to continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies as collective vigilance remains vital to sustaining peace and security within the state.
